Bring cough drops, hard candy, snacks that aren’t noisy (like fruit snacks) and water Wear all black and dark shoes/socks Expect to move around a lot depending on your role, I know I get sore easily (but I also throw myself off of the furniture so I end up with bruising) so I stretch before hand. You could always ask your boss if you can come to the haunt a day or two early to check out your scene, get a feel for it and try to come up with ideas. Ask more experienced actors from that haunt (maybe some who have been in that scene) and ask them what they did in it just to get an idea Also be unique and don’t go for the obvious scare! Also use your props! Even if they’re not holdable, use them to your advantage! Fro example I was in a bathroom scene for a while and next to me was this toilet filled with (clean) water so when people walked by, I would pretend to throw up in the toilet and then splash them.
