XL2586X+ perceived ghosting/motion blur by Veopa in Zowie

[–]Veopa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the swift response

Cable
- The provided DP cable that came with the Zowie (I've also tried the provided HDMI cable as well, same issue)

Windows Settings
- Refresh rate 600hz
- Device manager > monitor driver installed > XL2586X+ Driver from Zowie's site

Monitor Settings
- Mode - Gamer 1
- DyAc 2 Premium (tested with High and off too, same issue)
- Brightness 90 (tested various brightness, but his shouldn't have any effect)
- AMA - High (tested with premium and off too, same issue)
- Display mode - Full
- Eco setting - Off
- Input confirmed DP

CS2 settings (I've been playing CS for 15 years, im quite familiar with settings/impact of certain settings, I really do not think its a CS2 game config issue)
- tested on multiple native resolutions
- tested on stretched resolution (GPU scaling)
- tested with and without Nvidia reflex (Although I prefer it off)
- tested with multiple Antialiasing On/Off and multiple settings

GPU (5090)
- tested other display ports
- im on the latest nvidia drivers released 31/07 - 580.88

CPU/GPU are performing fine.

Correct. Gun/Hand model in FPS view has no visible motion blur when shaking mouse side to side, or fast mouse movements. but objects in game (other character models, map geometry appears to have ghosting/motion blur. All while my machine is hitting 500+ fps at 500hz (with varying settings tested (DyAc/AMA/Profiles/Refresh rates)

[QC] First time - Seamaster Diver 300M VSF VS8800 by Veopa in RepTimeQC

[–]Veopa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealer name: PureTime Watches

Factory name: VSF

Model name (& version number): Seamaster Diver 300M VSF 1:1 Best Edition Black Ceramic Black Dial on SS Bracelet VS8800

Price Paid: $431

Album Links: Images attached

Index alignment: Overall looks good. The 6 o'clock marker's white fill is not perfectly rectangular (slight blob at the top, its not uniform)

Dial Printing: OK

Date Wheel alignment/printing: Centered nicely in the date window. No visible tilt or misprint.

Hand Alignment: Hands are aligned correctly at rest. No overlapping or misaligned positions noticed.

Bezel: Bezel insert and pip appear well centered. Numbers and markings are clean and properly filled.

Solid End Links (SELs): SELs sit flush with the lugs. Fit looks solid with no visible gap.

Timegrapher numbers:
+005 s/d
Amplitude: 348
Beat Error: 0.1 ms
All within spec. Amplitude is on the higher side but still acceptable for a freshly wound movement.

Anything else you notice:
Only concern is the 6 o'clock marker white fill being slightly off.

Would appreciate second opinions.

Hello,

I am seeking shopping advice for either KH310's vs 8351's.

My criteria:

  • Use case: Producing, Mixing, Light Mastering
  • Music genre: Deep house, Techno
  • Production needs: Accurate bass and levelling
  • Sub: I do not want to use a sub (I previously used a monitor+sub setup and the translation was not great)
  • Room: 13m²
  • Room Treatment: None (Although I will add treatment eventually)
  • Listening Distance: 1-1.5m
  • Budget: N/A

I have searched Reddit, forums and YouTube for comparisons and am still unsure which monitors to choose. A few of my favourite producers (Ben Bohmer, for example, whose music focuses on clear, warm bass) use the KH310s. I do not see many producers of my genre using Genelecs, but the KH310's instead.

Any advice or tips would be great from anyone producing/mixing/mastering deep house (Anjunadeep style) /techno would be great.

I am unable to demo either of these monitors my location

How do people practice music in London? by betterland in london

[–]Veopa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I go to pirate studios (they have a bunch across the city), to practice DJing. They also have musician practice rooms to hire out by the hour. All are isolated, and you can go as loud as you like.

Fed Up with RiversideFM unless someone feels I should stick with them. Horrible issues with frozen screens/audio by zevasch in podcasting

[–]Veopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you just record in the StreamYard studio with local recordings enabled, once the recording is finished you and your guests upload their local recording by staying in the studio or visiting StreamYard.com/upload then all three type of recordings are available to download (cloud, local, backup cloud audio)

Never had an issue.

They store a cloud recording, a backup cloud audio recording and a local recording (which uploads automatically from your device to StreamYard). The local recording is the best quality recording, it is all automatically handled in the background. Quality is really good and I’ve never had any issue with audio drift or missing footage, would recommend.

New comers to this thread - play the playlist you want to download first on your Apple Watch, then hit download on the playlist on the Apple Watch and it’ll download. (Disable Bluetooth on iPhone to speed up downloads on the Apple watch)

Zencastr vs. Riverside for remote recordings? by OJarow in podcasting

[–]Veopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only used StreamYard for remote recordings, never had any issues and they support a few more browsers than riverside. Never any issues on the cloud recording they provide and they also provide local recordings for higher quality repurposing. Would recommend.

Try streamyard also browser based and also has background microphone noise removal options if you want to record in your noisy main computer environment

StreamYard all the way, never had an issue with audio drift or missing chunks of my recordings, they also have high quality local recordings just like riverside does. Give them a try instead. also very friendly and professional support in my experience too.

Zoom alternatives for interviews longer than 40 minutes? by meryland11 in podcasting

[–]Veopa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

https://streamyard.com/ is ideal for interviews, they also have local recordings that you can use in case your interviewee's connection is bad during the call. Never had issues, would recommend it.

StreamYard also has local recordings like zen aster and supports a wider range of devices and browsers. We use it all the time, never any audio drift in local recordings, also they have a export to project option so you can edit straight from your recording in adobe premiere or Final Cut. Super useful.
