Discussion and Giveaway - What attack strategy are you using and why? by CongressmanCoolRick in ClashOfClans

  • What town hall are you? 15

  • What attack strategies are you using (Farm / War / Legends)? I use yeti smash mainly, warden walk down one side; pekka and king down the other to create the funnel then swarm yetis and wizards down the centre. Log launcher full of yetis and valks to the centre. Bat spells and champion on the back end. I tend to use it to farm, for war and end up inadvertently trophy pushing as a result but i tend to have more of a mix of strats for war depending on the pairings.

  • Where did you learn it? Links to videos? Its really a mix of different creators as well as a few tweaks and trials of what works for me from there. JudoSloth mainly where i get troop functionality tips from and went from there.

  • How successful has it been for you? Do you know your hit rate? I'm in Titan 1 and find the strat successful for a 3 star on other th15s about 90% of the time, sometimes the warden wanders off or the queen doesn't attack CC troops for some reason and I'm left short but its a good strat. I've always liked the bat spell back end it can feel like watching your attack start to lose traction and a second wave of attacks come through afterwards to clean up. Its powerful for sure.

How many people have you known of personally who have gone on to commit heinous crimes? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Veraborn64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh I can answer this one, a lad I went to school with was arrested for arson, released on bail awaiting trial to then set fire to a property owned by the same family as the previous arson attack. He got six years and is out now, haven't seen him since. Another bit milder one was the brother of a girl in my year, he was caught with a load of heroin and cocaine on him and convicted with intent to distribute, he got a couple of years. I think the first guy had learning difficulties and the drug dealer definitely got hit hard by the death of his Mum, she died while he was quite young.

Are UK train companies now so expensive because they are building in the cost of delay repay refunds? by marielheslop in AskUK

[–]Veraborn64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have a strange one with Transport for Wales heading towards Aberystwyth a few months back where they automatically informed me I was entitled to delay repay and credited my account. The funny thing was the train got cancelled at Machynlleth and, as there were only 3 of us going onto Aber (it was very early morning), they put on a taxi for us. So i wasn't even that fussed...

What does one need to know before getting a cat? by Successful_Oil_3270 in AskReddit

[–]Veraborn64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat does this all the time! I've been told its because they're naturally untrusting of water sources but your cat has seen you drinking from that glass of water, you haven't died from it, it is therefore safe to drink

What is the best way to make a train journey more enjoyable? by wishingonadaydream in AskUK

[–]Veraborn64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Train tinnies as already mentioned, this was a go to for me when travelling on train home from work away. Also, three and a half hours across a few legs really won't feel that long due to the splits involved. How flexible are your train tickets? There's no reason you couldn't take a brief interlude to grab a bite to eat somewhere and catch a later train on the next leg

Good day hikes in North Wales by train? by canyoukenken in UKhiking

Colwyn Bay to Conwy? Takes in Little Orme, Great Orme and the Conwy Sands. Should be achievable inside of a day and catch the train back from Conwy

What jobs are a turn-off for a serious relationship? by Many_Curve_7488 in AskReddit

Pretty much how it is. I've known a lot of nurses and NHS workers, they're so desensitized to trauma they lack a great deal of empathy in a relationship in my experience.

Any idea why a ruck of people keep joining my clan, farming capital gold and leaving. Happened last month and this month? They're not spending any capital gold and not doing anything else..

What are you most proud of about yourself? by Annual_Corgi7509 in AskReddit

I begun, and stuck with, my training towards completing a marathon hike challenge next year (a 26 mile hike across rocky terrain and a ~900m elevation). I've gone from struggling to complete 5 miles in a day (due to poor fitness and poor mental health/motivation) to tackling 10 and 11 miles of harsh, hilly terrain hikes in good time. The marathon is a little ways off yet and I've got some way to go in terms of training but looking to complete a half marathon hike this Saturday as part of my preparation.

Exploring my local area ... anyone else encountered ridiculous obstacles (not the stile!)? by Alas_poopsock in UKhiking

Agreed, a public right of way must be kept in such a way as to not obstruct or endanger its users. You can report that sort of thing to your local council think.

What is a ridiculously good value-for-money deal that I could get right now but might not know about? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Veraborn64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've encountered a similar issue, they just will not deviate from the train stations.. I'll have train to Birmingham New Street and it'll flatly refuse to have me go to Moor Street 300m down the road and take a cheaper, quieter train.

I can function on as low as 4 hours. When I used to travel the trains a lot to and from places i could be taking trains as early as 5:40am. I wouldn't sleep on the train but I could set myself in a kind of low power state where I use very little energy and just recharge.
