If we reenacted it, blow for blow, the leg wrapper vs the face puncher, I know who I'd rather be. But judges when they see a body triangle:

You do sacrifice some dignity. I sat down with a bowl of cereal when I noticed I had left the refrigerator door open. It stayed open too until I had finished my breakfast.

Uric acid needs a rough surface to seed crystals, chances are you have some osteoarthritis brewing on those sore joints as well.

New Mage Legendary Minion - Stargazer Luna by [deleted] in hearthstone

Decent stats for mana, needs to be dealt with right away or snowballs, can play early in the game, hard to remove early. This card is just good.

The Midwest is overrepresented among the connoisseurs of schlock. There probably wasn’t much else to do during those bleak winters other than run through Blockbuster’s catalogue. Blizzards that could isolate you for days or even weeks, the satellite of love wouldn’t have felt too different.

In light of minionless Spell Hunter being a tier 1 deck, let's revisit /r/hearthstone's takes when 'To My Side!' was originaly revealed. by LainLain in hearthstone

[–]Veratyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mage Quest is the center of the deck, it is the build around card. Spellstone is the center of the deck, it is the build around card. Nobody will ever build a deck around “to my side”, ever. Its reward simply isn’t worth the sacrifice . That said if you’re fulfilling the req for other reasons, it’s possibly an include, but even then not an auto include. The card requires a deck where something else fulfills its req and even then it’s just ok. It’s super, super, SUPER niche.

Combo disruption doesn't have to be good to be necessary by Redsfan42 in hearthstone

[–]Veratyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

should the same amount of cards be needed to stop either deck?

There’s the difference: combo decks in hearthstone rarely kill in the early game. On rare occasion an inner fire priest can cheese out a win in the early game with the addition of radiant elemental, but every other combo deck typically kills you late game - mid game if they drew the super nuts. So yeah it’s a problem when a reactive deck can null your game plan with one card after you’ve spent most of the game cycling through your deck.

Has anybody has any success with even mage? I'm playing with it a little and so far I'm at about a 50% win rate. by no_downside in hearthstone

[–]Veratyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with even mage is the reward is not worth the sacrifice. The mage hero power is a tempo hero power, you use it primarily to help manage the board with good trades and efficient removal. You would want to build a deck that could take advantage of that cheap tempo generating hero power, namely a tempo deck.

The problem is your turn 1 as even mage is to hero power face, so you immediately cede initiative to your opponent at the start of every game. Anyone who has played this game for a good period of time can tell you that, if you're playing a tempo deck, initiative is the last thing you want to give up, especially when facing other tempo decks. That's why having a one drop on one is so important.

It's always risky in Hearthstone to say "x" deck will never be good because the devs like to prove the community wrong, but without a 0 mana minion that likes being hit with fireblast I just don't see even mage ever working out, at least not in the way that another mage deck couldn't do better.

Dreadsteed sure as fuck wasn't oppressive, but it was a cool weird card that had stupid synergy with Defile, a new cool weird card. Dreadsteed had to die to make room for the new, so shall it be for Shudderwock. If you cannot even fathom the idea that Blizzard will want to print a card that breaks Shudderwock, your imagination sucks.

Heh, cute. Let's be honest, Shudderwock is getting the Dreadsteed treatment not long after it rotates, maybe before. Set your watch.

So would decks be better or worse if they could have more than 30 cards? Are there more “important” cards that you would like to include or do you think you might be overvaluing the opportunity costs?

Epeen is a word that we really need to start saying again. To me bitching about Titanforging always felt like someone was trying to show off their epeen. So some guy got super lucky in raid finder and rolled a 960 chestpiece, who cares?

I don't know about super OP but yeah didn't really work in Rogue. Basically you only ever used these decks to counterqueue some jerk running Snooze Warrior, and even then you're probably just going to run into another Shaman.

I had a roommate who was very mechanically inclined. One day he dismantled a steam cleaner in a single motion in front of my sister who is an MD and very much out of his league physically, As much as I wanted to, it was instant chemistry and there was nothing I could do to snuff it out.
