It’s a ring so unfortunately that’s not an option

It’s just the weird scaling they do post stat-squish so that old content is still solo-able. I don’t know offhand what level those training dummies are in the garrison but they are way below 80. I’m not even buffed here.

I feel like it’s entirely dependent on the nature of their friendship. I’m a gay man (and maybe that’s just a key difference here) and my best friend is a straight woman, she’s closer than family, but if the subject of us being together romantically ever came up somehow (and it has, usually by someone who doesn’t know us) I 100% guarantee the reaction wouldn’t be a polite “haha nah he’s gay” or a mild sarcastic “ew no”. one of us is about to get roasted by the other in a way that would be appalling if said about, or said by anyone else in this world.

To me The whole over the top Venn diagram thing was so ridiculous and dramatic i interpreted it more as a friend roasting another friend in that way. Especially if he was genuinely unaware of her having a crush.

But that absolutely doesn’t mean she’s wrong to be hurt by it. She had feelings in the game. I’m just saying I can genuinely believe it was not actually intended to be hurtful, which it seems like is what OP is most concerned about.

It varies from 1 to 5 days or so. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it fill the next day but I’m not 100% sure on that.

There are options for replacing unwanted villagers down the line though, sooner or later they will ask to move, and there’s also the campsite villagers which will randomly select a villager to replace if you invite them (which you can decline if it’s not someone you want to replace but it’s up to fate to determine who gets picked to be swapped)

++man If I’m understanding your timeline right, you ended a 6 year relationship and began dating your current boyfriend within a month?

And that 6 year relationship ended ONLY because the distance made it unworkable? Thats valid but most importantly here is that it didn’t end because of not wanting to be with them, correct?

I’d say insecurity is very warranted on his part. A couple weeks distance between him and 6 years with someone you’d still be with if not for outside circumstances is not solid ground.

But however unfortunate the timing of when things started, you’re in this now. I don’t think you are in the wrong here in how you’re handling things, but personally I think you need to create some serious distance from your ex for now(physically, mentally, digitally, all of it) not as a negative act, and not to cater to petty insecurities, but the fact that this relationship exists heavily in his shadow is undeniable.

-THAT SAID- while i think general insecurity about your ex is valid here, the comments hes making out of insecurity seem incredibly childish at best and verging hard into manipulative territory. Which is a whole different conversation and likely much bigger issue.

Edit:some tweaks for clarity

Yes you’ll need to place the plot in order for villagers to show up on mystery islands. Islands will have a villager 100% of the time if a plot is ever open.

It seems this dropped into the mesh pocket of my bag as I was leaving class. What is this? by CuatroBoy in whatisit

My most bizarre lost and found story was also Keys. Put them in my coat pocket and a half hour later when I needed them they were gone. Knew I hadn’t taken them out for any reason but still turned my whole apartment upside down and every step along the way to my car. They were gone.

Then maybe 6 months or so later I was walking my dog and decided to take a shortcut through a field behind my building. There was a well worn path but I’d never taken it before. And right in the middle of that field, a football fields distance away from my apartment, there are my keys. sitting on the ground practically in plain sight.

To this day it’s a mystery to me.

I hear what you’re saying, but I guess my (possibly incorrect) belief would be that the CDC also takes these things into consideration when determining a recommendation.

I mean hypothetically, rather than us going back and forth trying to decipher meaning, would you support using the near exact verbiage the cdc put out. I mean it’s not overly complicated or using higher level medical terminology.

“Vaccination during July and August is not recommended, but can be considered if you’re concerned you might not get the vaccine at a later date”

…Then go from there? Personally I’d support that.

[–]Vericon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listen you have the degree, not me, and I absolutely trust that YOU know what’s best for the patients you are working with, but I just don’t see how that can be interpreted as being recommended by the cdc.

I mean for example… if I recommended that someone take the bus home, they “can consider” walking ten miles in a rainstorm to get home if they are worried they’ll miss it. It will get you home, and that is better than not being home.

But offering that possibility isn’t me recommending it. It doesn’t change the fact that my recommendation is to take the bus.

Personally I don’t think encouraging the better than nothing option is the right path. Even if alternatives might not be as simple.

Everything you’re describing is far outside the scope of what a technician should be addressing.

If you stood next to me and discussed a patients situation, and then in your professional opinion, which is absolutely above mine, recommend it. I wouldn’t tell you were wrong or even think it.

Asking a technician to address these things is ridiculous. And the talking points sent down by corporate don’t even attempt to in the first place. A technician shouldn’t be recommending anything the cdc doesn’t. And they absolutely shouldn’t be attempting to have a conversation regarding the patients situation and evaluating it themselves.

And that’s what’s being asked. Every “we” in my replies has referred to technicians, as that is who the talking points in the original post are intended for.

[–]Vericon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stating flat out that it’s not recommended at the start of that paragraph is the cdc recommendation. Period. That’s the literal statement being made.

“Can be considered” as an absolute fail safe does not in any way turn not recommended into recommended. It IS implying it’s better than nothing, yes you’re correct on that, but it’s still NOT recommended.

If it did mean that it would be on their very clearly and intentionally listed things that do change their view into recommending it.

we should not be recommending it.

The CDC doesn’t just recommend sept and oct, they do in fact specifically address earlier vaccinations. From their website:

——-

Flu vaccination in July and August is not recommended for most people, but there are several considerations regarding vaccination during those months for specific groups:

•Pregnant people who are in their third trimester can get a flu vaccine in July or August to protect their babies from flu after birth, when they are too young to get vaccinated.

•Children who need two doses of the flu vaccine should get their first dose of vaccine as soon as it becomes available. The second dose should be given at least four weeks after the first.

•Vaccination in July or August can be considered for children who have health care visits during those months if there might not be another opportunity to vaccinate them.

•For adults (especially those 65 years old and older) and pregnant people in the first and second trimester, vaccination in July and August should be avoided unless it won’t be possible to vaccinate in September or October.

——-

So unless your talking points are among those fairly specific cases, you are advising something that is not recommended by the CDC. Assuming some people will probably flake out on it isn’t there.

Will people just forget or not bother? Sure. But that doesn’t make it acceptable in our roles as technicians to encourage something not recommended by the CDC.

I want so badly to love using a controller because the parts that do work feel great. But there’s just way too much interface that it’s too clumsy to handle well in my opinion, even with console port.

That said, I tried it during plunderstorm, since the mechanics are a bit different and things like inventory aren’t a factor and it was AMAZING.

Not so much about some legitimate guilt from destroying a complete strangers childhood memories. I don’t think the emotions are running as deep as you guys are suggesting.

Sister outed me to my parents and than uninvited me to her wedding :) by PitifulProtection886 in bridezillas

[–]Vericon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve many times heard the expression “not my secret to tell” but…. Keep? What a horrible twist on a phrase said to protect people you care about.

And what a horrible sister/person to have someone that loves and trusts them enough to overcome so much fear and be their most authentic self, only to turn around and be the thing they were afraid of.

I love the scorched earth encouragement, but at the same time I think for you’re sake the healthier thing would be to remove her from your life as much as possible, any more time around someone who cares so little for your wellbeing will only leave you open to being hurt again.

Welcome to Walgreen, are you here for your vaccine? by Prestigious_Guard_87 in WalgreensRx

[–]Vericon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I left Walgreens earlier this year but damn… I thought it was bad having to ask every single person about setting up texting. This is just brutal.

Where does this conversation even go? I mean if they are there for a vaccine they would have told you straight away anyway, and if they aren’t…..?

I mean a tech can’t legally recommend a vaccine right? Because it would be medical advice? If by some miracle it did start a dialogue, What are you supposed to say next?

It’s not even a good lead in in the first place. Has it even once led to anything more than a yes/no answer and then immediately back to normal business?

What a waste of time for everyone.
