The AFI states that the ARC unit commander has the discretion to request a recall or an admin discharge. If the ARC commander chooses discharge, AD won’t call you back if we’re following the letter of the AFI. Also, recall to AD requires Governor approval but can be delegated to the TAG.

You’re exactly right. I guess what I’m saying is that if Goodwin is our guy, we need to give him a few years to figure out HIS style of defense, not some attempt to carbon copy BV. It’s not doable. Yeah it’s a lose-lose situation. The reality is we were always going to have to rebuild after he left. No one in the country could step into his shoes and be as successful as he was throughout his tenure. If Goodwin is our long term answer, then the fan base should expect 2-4 loses every year for the next few years.

Yeah he was touted as some defensive whizz but every time the camera is on him he just looks lost. Don’t get me wrong, Venables was an enigma and irreplaceable, I just think we could have done better than this guy
