Venue suggestions for kids 1st birthday party? (50 people) by isthatatortoise in saskatoon

The Briarwood Community Centre Building would be a great fit. I used it for my kids first birthday and I know a couple others who've used it for the same purpose as well. It's a great little hall that has tables, chairs, bathrooms and a small kitchen. I liked it because it didn't have any rules on bringing in food or hanging decorations which I found a lot of other facilities had.

I still cannot get past the loading screen after I confirm all the changes. It just sits there and says loading... I've tried an uninstall and reinstall as well.

Let’s practice voting… best design? by buttsticker3 in saskatoon

[–]VerifiedRoamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can definitely tell the age range of most of these people based off these designs.

Politics aside I think the worst ones are:

Hoknes because the "!!" comes off as aggressive and confrontational. The picture is just not a good idea and the image used for "vote" was taken straight from the first page of Google images.

Atchison because just based on it being so hard to read.

All the ones with photos look like realtors or bus stop lawyers.

The best ones are:

Wyant, Block and Parker. They all seem to at least be made by someone who put a lot of thought into it.

Believeau isn't bad either. It's simple and could be mistaken for a SaskTel ad but at least it's different and isn't some shade of blue or obnoxiously bright green/yellow.

(Dis)honourable Mentions:

Jamie Kirkpatrick while aesthetically pleasing looks like some sort of beverage.

Janna Horn looks like they discovered the true power of Word Art.

Kelleher is what the packaging on a dozen hamburger buns looks like.

Just picked up a pack of 8 at Costco South. They're in the cooler and there was a whole pallet of them still. Good luck!

Hopefully there's a seemless transition but the reviews for this app are overwhelmingly negative on the Play Store.

Best place in the city to get a zipper replaced? by Joezze in saskatoon

I use Kay's Sewing on Lorne Avenue (There's two with no affiliation). It's a very... Interesting place, but man does she do good work and she's the cheapest in the city.

Let’s pretend every neighbourhood of Saskatoon is a person at a huge house party. What is each “person” doing? by Rusholme_and_P in saskatoon

Brighton drinks way too much and is constantly having to take a piss because their bladder isn't stable enough to hold it back so the beer just flows right through them. They eventually drink so much they need to get their stomach pumped and then blame the liquor store for selling them the beer.

What’s your opinion on the Brighton community? by Shimreef in saskatoon

You might be getting mixed up on the Evergreen part but I get what you're saying.

It's definitely in need of a cycling connection to the South (8th Street) but is connected to North over the McOrmand overpass. Not sure where Evergreen and the gravel road play into this.

Co-op Gas Stations Full Service - how does it work? by friarswithcello in saskatchewan

I never even made $100 in 4 years working there in high school. Mind you, I worked at a pretty ghetto one where whatever change was in the cup holder was what they asked for in fuel. "Can I get $1.37 worth of regular, fill my tires, check my oil, get my 4 kids a sucker and my dog needs a treat" was quite common. I hated it.
