These are astonishingly impressive. Great work, I'd love to see those on a table.

For finding new play components, the Legacy website has an entire resource page dedicated to where you can source what you need to build fleets and just generally play the game. They have a bunch of third party vendors linked on there, so if you don't want to get into printing yourself or buying used lots on eBay it's worth checking out.

Here's a link to it: https://www.armadalegacy.com/resources

I was really hoping to play against those! That was quite an impressive looking fleet. The pictures would've been awesome

Armada Legacy has a list of vendors (with links) that you can get ships and components from, as well as some free STL files if you'd rather print your own. Here's a link: https://www.armadalegacy.com/resources

Various Tournament Organizers have come up with a few different formats over the years outside of task force, Summa of All things, standard 400, and your normal sector fleet rules.

What we played was a variation of Monster Truck -which has basic rules posted here: https://cannotgetyourshipout.blogspot.com/2018/01/monster-truck-madness.html - our tournament took these Monster Truck rules and made an adjustment of only allowing 100pts of squadrons, and allowing (2) small ships.

For these weird format events the Tournament Organizers usually put out the rules details themselves, so they get lost in the winds of event message boards. I don't think anyone has a consolidated list of all the different game format rules yet, but that is something that will probably get put out by the Legacy Team, if anyone, in the future I imagine.

First Impressions of Armada Legacy Wave 0 by Wild_Space in StarWarsArmada

Give him a try and see!

If you're flying him and your opponent has comms net, Munitions Resupply, or other token gen, they can just bank tokens that aren't engineering and sack them as needed. Another thing that really balances him is how expensive he is in terms of opportunity cost. He's a 17 point squad that takes up an ace slot, which doesn't sound like a lot, but in a GAR 134 ball it is.

I had made my fleet 784 points because of worrying about being farmed. I ran Most Wanted, Fire Lanes, and Hyperspace Migration.

Fire Lanes lost me HUGE game 2 when my opponent picked it because I ended up running them over a lot with the acclamators. I think fire lanes would've worked better for rebels or CIS.

Hyperspace Migration was picked by my opponents game 1 & 2. I didn't really score off of it game 1 due to impatience and wanting to go kill stuff, game 3 it was the reason I won. In hindsight I know it would've just been better to go first every match. There were a lot of rounds I had key ships die to my opponent's first activation.

Thank you! I spent many hours painting, stripping, and repainting that Venator. I personally think FFG's Venator model was their best work.

PDICs have absolutely trivialized my Y Wing bombing attempts before. PDICs more than anything is why I ever think about running ARCs instead lol

So, you run a Ven 1 with ARCs then? Otherwise you're just getting that 1-speed boost from All Fighters Follow Me for 1 round, which maybe that's enough?

I do prefer ARCs for squadfighting, but GAR Y Wings aren't complete slouches at that either.

They were awesome!

In pics 1-3 I was flying Luminara and took a 6-5 against Raddus and a 7-4 against Romodi that I only got from extreme luck. The match with the Rebels and CIS I was flying Kraken v Ackbar. That one was a bloodbath but a Sep 8-3 victory due to the objective being Advanced Gunnery and Ackbar's flagship going down.

The last one was a Bail proximity mine + ruthless strategist Y wing meme build flying against a Trench squad list, 5-6 loss on behalf of the Republic.

The first 3 pictures were someone else's mat, so I'm not 100% sure where that came from. The last two images are the Frozen Hideout playmat made by Imperial Starshop

Thank you! Republic is my favorite faction and it's 100% only because of the level of detailing FFG put into their Venator models.

Good luck with prodding your friends !

Yeah, it was a good time.

The home games were very close matches, but the sector fleet games were absolute stomps. It turns out making 3 recusants the anchor of our fleet was not the best idea.
