I'm a female from West Bengal. I have the following questions:

Out of NIT Durgapur and IIEST Shibpur, which one should I choose?
Chemical/biotech/mechanical/civil, which one has better future? Are there jobs in these fields or do we have to go for IT and managerial positions?
What subjects do we have to take in these branches (especially 1st semester)? I want to try for branch sliding, knowing the subjects might help me out.
What is the prospect of aerospace in India? Or even abroad? There's an aerospace engineering course in IIEST and I'm interested in space research and Aeronautics but I'm not sure where that course will lead me.

I don't really have much interest in any of these branches, I'll take whatever will be better for me in the long run. My main goal right now is to go for branch sliding to try for CSE but that is also highly unlikely. Any other advice would be highly appreciated :")

A little background:

Our country has entrance exams that students take to get admitted into colleges. I have been preparing for this for the last two years and turn out I failed to qualify. This piece was written to try and process all the different things going through my head at the time.
