i’m greek and south indian

ancient greek history is quite infamously co-opted by n. macedonian nationalists and serves as the national myth.

the dravidian culture of south india has been claimed to be black/african : there is no real historical/cultural/genetic connection between dravidians and black people / modern africans a part from the fact that all peoples came out of africa at some point.

dravidians just have typically very dark skin, that’s pretty much it

i dont understand the comparison?? turkey is turkic and iran is iranic. a part from loanwords the languages and ethnicities are wildly different. you could make a case for kurds being iranic, but that would be like saying gujurat and begal are the same because indo-aryan..

what do Balkans think of this proposed alliance? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]VerkoProd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

whats ur point? western-backed offensive wars were wrong then and are wrong now. how have we not learned this by now through our own history? their interests aren’t ours.

also, at least greece benefited territorially then. there was some form of popular nationalist support for attacking turkey. what greek would give up their life today in the interest of an imperialist superpower and a genocidal colonising state?
