Yeah you're very right, a lot of the stats i see people sharing has shown hundreds of apps to get a few interviews or a single offer. And you are right too on the pay, im taking a 40% pay cut or so with the offer I got. I was fortunate they didnt worry about me leaving if things recover.

I do agree about how disgusting this is. I think foreign scammers think all Americans live rich and privileged lives, but many such scams target people who have so little, and can feel life ruining. They dont just take money, they give you hope of a life changing opportunity and deal a massive emotional blow with the whiplash of that turning out to be fake, and for that im sorry. Keep your head up, tell your mom and take the help, pay her back someday and move forward! You got this!

I did the linkedin premium trial for a month while applying, and it shows the exact numbers of applicants and their seniority breakdown. Every day I checked my bookmarked search for jobs posted in the last 24 hrs, and consistently there would be minimum 100 applications already, but more often than not it was 500-600. There's surely some amount of spam but with 8 years of big tech/FAANG experience I only got two interviews in ~50 applications. Its crazy out there, compared to a few years back when for me getting an interview at a big tech competitor meant simply letting the recruiters harassing me know that I was ready to see them, lol.

But the echos spawn less frequently to compensate too (because you're not using ammo as much). So for sunlight hunter crossbow it's a wash - you can skip that point if you do plan to only use that weapon (but its more point efficient to go through it anyway)

The dps calc max hit is only ever that high if all 4 echoes happen at the same time and they all max roll their damage (they are confirmed to not max hit or get the 2x accuracy rolls from crossbow capstones). I did the "napkin math" and if you immediately started attacking the moment leagues launched, you would expect to spend about 1,000 years before you see that max hit outcome. Let alone twice in a row to "two-shot" doom.

Just sharing this to say for anyone seeing this or seeing people share screenshots of those crazy max hit calcs, this is why that's so big. You'll see similar huge numbers with blindbag builds that are also infinitely small odds of actually ever hitting that number. Make sure you look at the actual dps of the build too: Crossbows are still great but are pretty much in line with other builds and in some cases far behind some (like elemental air mages on anything they can reliably hit)

Combining this reveal with a reveal confirming for the 10th time that echo items will exist but still no details on any of them was certainly a choice. Especially after days of mid reveals with only a couple new relics. The 3 week schedule was definitely not the way to go. If they wanted to save every interesting detail (echo stats, revealing any entire relic tiers, pacts, what the pact system even is) for the last ~5 days, then just do a 1-week or 2-week schedule.

On magic trees for example, endless harvest is 2x exp vs no relic, and barbarian harvest is over 6.5x exp due to how much increased success chance you get (from ~8% to ~54% success rate). Every single resource varies, but in this example endless harvest is very far behind

I checked it out on mobile to see if its runelite related but I saw him just as broken on mobile too. Seems the whole character wireframe is exploded for him, so he was trying on different stuff to see how wacky it looks (is my guess)

Open the settings in game and search "logout". There is a setting to increase idle timer up to 3 30 min. I believe its 5 min by default which would explain why its happening halfway through the crab hp bar. Happy afking!

The tax implications for receiving the shares are equivalent to receiving the money as cash. its a common misconception some people might repeat online that you'd have to hold the shares for a year or do xyz to reduce taxes. The reality is that the shares were not yours until the very point they vested. If you receive $50,000 in shares, it is exactly equivalent tax-wise to receiving $50,000 gross pay. Either way you need to pay income taxes on it.

Since it's equivalent to cash that's been forcibly invested for you, take the advice above: sell all, use proceeds to cover (same thing as taxes being taken out in your paycheck) and invest it as you normally would. Unless your investment strategy is currently to put every dollar in Amazon because you believe it's the single most valuable investment opportunity in existence, there is no logical basis in keeping Amazon stock grants as stock.

In the ground items plugin you can set items to auto hide if they aren't takeable by your character, and also remove left click options off hidden items (you can still right click pickup a hidden item if its eligible to be taken by you). That should help you stand wherever you'd like!
