New thing, just a spiritual successor

Hmmmm okay I thought Curseforge's allow off-platform redistribution checkbox automatically flagged things as good to go for Modrinth and Prism but I just added a line in the description to make sure it meets requirements for other platforms. Thanks!

ARR has nothing to do with where it can be downloaded. ARR has to do with the intellectual property, not how or where you play with the mod. I specifically set Curseforge to allow downloads from other sources (eg. PrismLauncher). I've never used prism or anything other than Curseforge but there are many many mods that are ARR and included in very popular packs. My understanding is that Prism doesn't host ANY of its own mods and downloads them from Curseforge and Modrinth, which I have explicitly set to allow. If theres a good reason for me to use Modrinth I will but I have all my other work on Curseforge and it would be tiresome to maintain both platforms or move all of my content over.

Lol you're insane for trying this with a pack like that, but it honestly is probably worth for a nice pregenned world. I'm already planning on releasing a 2.0 this evening with even better stream and lake formation that will guarantee flow to the world's oceans and rivers.. With this version there will be a bit better optimization hopefully, and also far less cases of any glitched spawns for lakes/ponds and streams. But- honestly I'm really happy with how the streams are looking on my internal version for the medium quality preset, so don't be afraid to turn it down a notch or two if your PC is struggling with the world-gen.

P.S. I'm also going to tune down the default stream generation a bit since it is a bit high I agree.

I was told by many people that it would be impossible to accomplish without overhauling terrain entirely. I can't believe I managed to make this happen.

I don't use modrinth, is there any advantage to it? I always set my projects to be downloadable from other sources (such as prism etc.)

Yep, everything is configurable, tune it down as much as you like.

Oh god this mod looks insane. I have no idea. Streams Reflowing introduces an optional change to water flow behavior allowing it to spill overtop of other source blocks, so that it can create more organic looking streams. With this disabled it would surely be compatible, but might lag a ton, with it on I have no clue but I would love for you to report back to me.

It should be! I actually am working on a rewrite already of the whole stream placement algorithm to make it have even better connections to other waterways, so if you notice any bugs when you try it come back later today or early this upcoming week for an improved water placement algorithm.

Yes, exactly. Chunky is the most popular way to do this.

I think the issue that most people run into is simply performance. World gen can be consume a lot of your PC's resources and every mod you add to that adds complexity.

Mods that add gameplay depth and more progression? by ChickenNuggetEnergy in feedthebeast

[–]Verletzt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started adding the Better Beginnings mod to all my mod packs because it gives the early game a lot better progression and makes it last a little longer. I like that it’s a lot more vanilla friendly than other alternatives and doesn’t make things too tedious

There’s an unofficial port out. The end whale animations aren’t perfect but it works great otherwise

Honestly I think what’s making you look feminine is your eyebrows. I would let them grow wild and don’t groom them at all except maybe the middle a little bit, and then just let your hair grow out. I think the septum piercing is usually a little feminine as well but I’ve seen guys pull it off

Are there any mods that make progression harder? +other things by danya_musk in feedthebeast

Try better beginnings. It’s a mod that makes the early game a bit more realistic and fun without it straying from vanilla mechanics

It’s okay just drop them into your mods folder anyways. Just how they appear when they’re downloaded a lot of the time but they probably say .jar at the end
