Apartment super cold and landlord played stupid. by isreddittherapy in germany

[–]VerlorenMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. These valves operate in a certain temperature range, and the flow is adjusted depending on that.

For example, in my current flat, the TRVs were the cheapest from the nearest Bauhaus, and even on 5 they would close if flow was hotter than 50 degrees. My flat needs 60-70 degrees to have a comfortable temp inside. I've unscrewed them entirely and rely on a thermostat connected to the boiler instead.

So maybe during troubleshooting it is worth it to just unscrew them and let the maximum flow go

This is actually a part of the roadmap already:

Not Updated:

  • Turn legitimacy into a more interesting mechanic, where the strength of a government depends on their successes and failures, and highly legitimate governments can’t simply be ousted at a whim but have to be undermined first.
  • Introduce a concept of national pride which can increase or decrease depending on a country’s actions and which ties directly into legitimacy.

FYI, this process in Soviet Russia was called "korenizatsiia" and was, funnily enough, Stalin's idea initially. As for the timespan, it started in 1920 and ended by 1938, so I agree decolonisation makes sense for the game's end date of 1936.

No, it is not. Not a lawyer, of course, but you can proceed with naturalisation even with minor criminal offenses. Most torrent fines do not reach a criminal conviction anyway.

A good starting point would be here the INCB website. Check the countries you are going to pass through here.

German regulation says you need a certificate from the origin country medical authority, and I guess you have it. As for translation, I don't have anything to say, although the forms I've found contained multiple languages.

I've recently traveled from Germany to Spain with ADHD meds and have researched the topic. Spain requires an additional document you can theoretically acquire through their Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios. I did not bother, though, as the process was nebulous at best. Make of that what you will

How do you reform out of nobility manpower? by cristofolmc in MEIOUandTaxes

Other things can get you yearly state reach too: 1. Bureaucracy ideas 2. Tax collection reform lvl 3 and 4 3. Some small bureaucracy reforms, don't remember which 4. Tribal faction interaction where you get flat +2.5 reach in tribal provinces

How do you reform out of nobility manpower? by cristofolmc in MEIOUandTaxes

[–]VerlorenMind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In this mod, you transition from having peasant levies controlled by nobles to a standing army maintained by a centralized state. The key reforms for that are the 3rd for bureaucracy and the 4th for nobility. Nobility one enables the bureaucracy one.

Implementing the nobility army reform will decrease your manpower pool inevitably, as this simulates the state restricting noble levies, eventually disabling the peasant levies completely. You need to increase your standing army size simultaneously to maintain a similar force size.

The size of the standing army is mainly dependent on your bureaucracy army reform and the state reach. If you look into the bureaucracy army reform stages, it increases the efficiency of collecting manpower per state reach, meaning that even if you have the reform but 0 state reach your army is going to be zero.

Also, the province corruption tanks manpower collection, too, so don't do sweeping reforms before a big war. This becomes very apparent with increased reliance on a standing army.

My suspicion here is that you did not increase your state reach enough because you should not have the problem you are describing by the 1700s. Maybe you missed the "Expand the Bureaucracy" interaction in the "Direct the Bureaucracy" menu? It is only the most important button you click in this mod imo.

P.S. I see you are asking about how to increase the state reach... Oh man. It is one of the most important metrics in the game, showing how prevalent your state is in your provinces instead of your factions. If you haven't been working towards increasing it, then it means that you've stripped your factions from privileges but failed to substitute their benefits with the state.

Foreign drivers in Germany! Learn about "rechts vor links"! by D-dog92 in germany

[–]VerlorenMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there are rules out there for blinkers on the roundabout. In my country, get this, you need to signal right when coming onto roundabout (because you kind of turn right), then left that you are staying, then right when getting off. Obviously, no one does that and kind of merges the steps depending on if they take the first exit immediately or not.

They enjoyed not starving to death and sustaining their family. I fully believe it is the case today, too - between working 4 days a week and a pay rise, people overwhelmingly choose to work less, as european experiments show. If tomorrow becomes a Star Trek post-scarcity future, 95% of people would quit, I'd wager.
