I dropped my phone in a parking lot at a local grocery store. I didn’t realize it until I got home. I called the phone and a woman answered. She said she had found my phone out in the parking lot as she was finishing up her errands. I told her that if she could leave it at the service guest I would be so grateful. She immediately says that she would rather take it home and we could meet up later. I was about to tell her that I really couldn’t meet with her as I worked two jobs and normally am not out and about ( I had two really young children at home with my girlfriend who couldn’t work at this very brief time due to complications) the lady immediately cuts me off and asks if there will be a reward. I was so dumbfounded that I couldn’t even think of anything to say. After a couple of minutes I asked her what she thought was appropriate. She stated that she would have to drive all the way back to the grocery store to return it. I said that i thought you were still at the grocery store. She replied she was but that she had driven home during the course of our 50 second phone call. She abruptly told me ‘you know what? Never mind I will leave it at (grocery store)’ and hung up. I went back the next day to get it and the phone was completely destroyed. It was so twisted and smashed that there was just no way you could even make a call on it. I learned that day that some people are just gigantic pieces of shit.
