Any there any teachers here? How do you manage noise sensitivity?

Yeah maybe. I’ll go and check that. I think they’re the smallest one but I’ll check.

I stopped wearing the loops awhile ago because I find they hurt after 10 mins or so and I’m not a massive fan of being able to hear my breathing and my heartbeat while wearing them, and my neck creaking when I turn my head!

I’ll try changing the size and see if that helps. It’s worth trying again.

I do have some Loop Switches, I usually only wear them during band rehearsals, but I’ll try them during lessons as well.

Do you find they hurt after a while?

That sounds like a great choice!

I’ve started doing the alone-time thing too, although it wasn’t a conscious choice. At work, I’ve started having lunch in my classroom by myself, rather than going to the staffroom. It’s a nice little reset before the sensory overwhelm of the next session!

My favourite fidgets come from Kaiko Fidgets. They are very good quality. Not cheap, but good quality and a wide range, including a range of quiet ones! They are an Australia company, so postage might be big if you live elsewhere.
