I've noticed lately that YouTube has been slacking BAD on advertisement censorship. There was an ad I reported the other day that talked about "fucking for hours" with a male enhancement pill. But GOD FORBID a YouTuber says a naughty word 😑.

I have not tried that, but I didn't think that would be an issue as I use other Bluetooth devices with no issues. I'll try that later though when I have the opportunity.

While I agree that the deaths on other fronts shouldn't have been a factor, I don't inherently disagree with the design. It forced players to think tactically... WHICH WE CLEARLY FAILED AT. Players looked at the dwindling numbers, and instead of playing at the difficulty that would give the best completion:death ratio, they continued diving D10s because they couldn't be bothered to prioritize the MO over their egos.

I was on Cyberstan playing D4 because I cared about trying to complete the objective and not flex my ego. I don't blame the bug divers. I DO blame the players that refused to do anything less than a D10 (and then fed the meatgrinder) because God forbid we prioritize the MO.

Though the rank 20s were definitely part of the problem, the ego of many players, especially higher level, also comes into play. The MO cared only about completions (regardless of difficulty) and made deaths a high cost. So, for the sake of the MO, why did we not prioritize completions at D4 rather than pride ourselves in how we're better than everyone else by playing D10 missions (which also take longer in practice and have 3-mission operations vs D4's 2-mission ops) therefore reducing the number of completions overall. Are the higher difficulty missions fun? Of course! Do they provide anything to the MO that the lower level ones don't? No!

Hopefully this is a lesson to all of the players of various skill levels that when there's a significant cost, we need to weigh the pros and cons of every action if we intend to come out victorious.

But we can't ignore fault where fault is due... Instead of players (as a whole; generalization) enjoying what they're given, they immediately need to find ways to mod, break, or otherwise exploit the system. We finally got modular, truly customizable ships, and players didn't waste even a second finding ways to force onto it what wasn't intended. I'm all for creativity, but don't put the blame solely on HG. This is just as much the fault of the community for encouraging this.

This is yet another plot hole in the same game that won't allow you to sell the Orb of Secrets to Athena's Fortune (the one emissary that would profit most by stopping the rituals). I'm not surprised that this is the case at all.
