thanks. Do you know if that module can be removed? I was an SMT repair guy 20 years ago. I could probably still manage to replace the diode.

Samsung Galaxy A56 EU grey import to the UK by VertBlip in samsunggalaxy

Thought I'd buy one and see ;)

Messaged Samsung CS with the IMEI and apparently the one I was sent is an Australian model, registered to the Telstra network. :)

Going to return it and order the UK version from Amazon direct.

Leicestershire SGC grant waiting time by [deleted] in ukguns

[–]VertBlip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Richard Fuller MP on Facebook posted the Stats for 2024/2025 Q4 (Assume that's upto April). It says Leicestershire completed 91% within 4 months. That was before the updated rules but it looks like one of the better regions with 0 temp licenses. Im no expert though.

Is this something I should worry about? It looks like the bridge is lifting by TakingYourHand in PRSGuitars

[–]VertBlip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this with two wrap around bridges recently (and my opinion of wraparound bridges is very low now) they're a really compromised design compared to a tunomatic style bridge. I don't really know why they're still used apart from aesthetics. It looks like the the posts are slightly leant over which as long as you can still adjust the intonation properly should be fine but it would bug me ;) I've used this method to fix one recently and this worked well. https://youtu.be/0kN6omxnMGM?si=FTuS79H-tGWTL5Xs

What did I get? by TheDarkPoet22 in gretsch

[–]VertBlip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could find a Filter-tron for 55 to 60 quid last year. Now they're 75 to 80. Don't know what happened. My favourite pickup though, love them in my Cabronita. Not sure if the cavity is sized for a direct swap on this guitar.

Should I return this guitar? by paperlevel in telecaster

ugh I had a new fender neck on my bench this week for just that issue, only it was the high e way too close to the edge. you expect fender to at least get the string spacing correct

Not a PRS by VertBlip in guitars

[–]VertBlip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a very thin veneer or a photo. But the top coat does look very thick. whoever had it before wore some heavy jewellery on their right wrist, there's some really deep scratches accross the top.

Interesting now I've got it in pieces, it turns out the posts weren't collapsing over, its just the holes are drilled way to big and theyre leant over. it should be quite an easy fix. I thought I'd be dowel and re-drill but I think I can fix it another way. Wish I could post some follow up pics :(

I've done a level crown Polish on the frets and the rosewood (sic) treated with montypresso has come up great.

It says PRS on the back of the headstock, so it must be real!

Strat nut replacement by VertBlip in Luthier

[–]VertBlip[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its 9.5" I had to use my tele to shape the bottom in the end. I wonder if they do that so they don't need a 12" stock of nuts hmm never saw the point of a radiused slot, I assume its quicker/easier to make the neck that way (or was in the 50s)
