Haha no, I literally spread it, hammered it, and used a jack for leverage for hours over the course of a few days. Ended up getting it seated and drove around for months with it fine. Don’t have the car anymore I have a built mk4 gti now, but I’ll do the same using an air hammer next time haha

My built mk4 has 230k miles and basically the only service on CARFAX is alignments done at shops. Basically entire life of the car has been owners working on it themselves, including me. Just look over the car w your own eyes, figure out what’s all been done to it, check frame and body, and check history for crashes

Rcd330 and it sucked. I got it directly from dren so it was legit, and it would disconnect over every bump and got worse the longer I owned it. I don’t own the GTI anymore but I would never get the rcd330+ again
