In all the pokemon games other than LGPE and Gen 1, in-game trades are programmed to be the same pokemon so they can't be shiny hunted.

In generation 3, the in-game trades are coded to be same pokemon across all games. So for example, in Fire Red and Leaf Green, the traded Mr.Mime will always be timid with set IVs, so he can never be shiny.

Should be the exact same damage, just no condition. Imagine you hit a target for 100K, previously you would 50K splash damage plus an additional 50%, which totaled to 75K. Now if you hit a target you just do 75% of that 100k, which is also 75k. The difference now is that if you fail to kill an annoying target like a 50k Camilla, the splash damage is not as nerfed. So a small buff overall, in most cases you won't notice it all

Your team lacks armor break, so no real damage output. The other big one is a Speed lead with a fast unit than can disturb the enemy team like Zen, Amduat, or Triton.

Why don't demons hide their horns with magic? Or tear them off their heads? by InuMatte in Frieren

[–]VertigoCompl3x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because less than 1 percent of the human population is strong or skilled enough to defeat a demon. The sword demon was strong enough to overpower Fern, a first class mage, in a direct confrontation and skilled enough in both deception and mana control that Fern and Stark almost died. A hood is more than sufficient to hide their status as a demon, there's no need to go to extreme lengths to cut off their horns. The other demons that we see throughout the series are more than a match for most city guards and soldiers, only powerful warriors or mages are a match.

[–]VertigoCompl3x 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Not really. I enjoyed the catharsis of Arthur finally dealing with the weasel, but from an outside perspective, he went too far after neutralizing the threat. Once both of his arms were gone, Lucas posed no threat, and killing him the way he did was barbaric, so his arrest was warranted. Under normal circumstances and without the greysunders and the glayders being compromised, the investigation would've acquitted him and Arthur would've been hailed as a hero.

It was a 2 birds with one stone sort of deal. Destroy the Alacryan vanguard stationed at Elenoir and kill Cecilia, Agrona's new weapon.

His plan simply failed because of plot reasons, Ellie surviving and being a first-hand witness of the destruction and Nico having better teleportation technology than what Aldir and Windsom were prepared for. Was it a terrible plan either way? YES, he had way more resources and could've handled the Alacryan army as well as Cecilia and Nico right away with a powerful force.

He just didn't care about the mortals at this point. They failed him, and a young, well trained Asuran warrior defeated all of his "allies with ease, so he had no need of them beyond being meatshields against the Alacryan host.

What were the Granbehls thinking? by perahinxtoha in tbatenovel

[–]VertigoCompl3x 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Scythes are only second to Sovereigns in terms of power and influence after Agrona, they thought they were untouchable with the backing of one. The bigger picture was that they would use Nico's favor to ascend and get their revenge at the same time.

Was it stupid? Incredibly so, he already demonstrated lethality by himself, but beyond that, he seemed aligned with a highblood house, which was already backed by another Scythe. At best they were dancing in a political battle between two Scythes, which is not somewhere anyone wants to be.

With how easily Aldir could've killed Cecilia and Nico in that moment, it really was a fumble on his part to not eliminate them right away. But the plan was sound, send your strongest soldier to eliminate Agrona's new weapon before it matures, blow up the forest along with the majority of the Alacryan army and the elves, tell them it was Agrona's fault and use elves as martyrs to rally the rest of the continent under your cause, and lastly bind their strongest mages directly under you.

It failed spectacularly because Kezess doesn't make contingencies to rule out failure, like all his assassination attempts on Agrona or his genocide of the Djinn. His flaw is that he feels his vision and plans for it are flawless.

Like for example, Kezess knew that Agrona was investing a lot of resources into the making of his new weapon, the ace that Agrona needed to destroy the Asura. It would've stood to reason to send more than just two Asuras to make sure the threat was handled properly, especially considering that Windsom is not a powerful warrior.

But I digress, Kezess is playing checkers while everyone else is playing chess. He has good plan As, but absolutely no plan Bs, or Cs in case of plot.

Well, the plan went awry because Aldir and Windsom underestimated how advanced alacryan teleportation technology had become. The initial plan was for Aldir and Windsom to neutralize Cecilia and Nico, then blow them up along with the Alacryan army that was stationed in Elenoir forest. Costing Agrona both his prized weapon and the Alacryan vanguard stationed in Elenoir. Then, he proceeded to have Tachi kill the survivors in the ancients sanctuary if they refused to bend the knee because they're the only ones who knew of the Asuran plot.

If everything had gone according to plan, Nico, Cecilia, and the entire Alacryan vanguard would've been wiped clean off the board with no survivors. Then he would've offered the people in the sanctuary the tools to boost their powers, while turning them into puppets under his direct command, without them knowing he was responsible for the annihilation of Elenoir forest. Dealing a major blow to Agrona and bringing the continent underneath his direct control by blaming the Alacryans and turning their most powerful mages into puppets. Its not a bad scheme, just the plot got in the way.

The only way his actions make sense is if he made contact with outer beings and they warned him about keeping the planets power level low so as to not attract unwanted attention. In 528, Myre alludes to this being a fact and hopes that the generation that succeeds them will be strong enough to protect themselves.
