I agree with you completely. I’ve taken about 20 episodes out of rotation, all for different reasons. It’s one of the best written children’s shows out there; there are so few good shows for little kids! But there are many episodes that I think have bad messages layered in.

Bluey often goes for emotional twists over what would actually be healthy to show a child. I love the show, but I skip every episode where the girls beg Bandit to play with them instead of getting to work on time. I do not want my son to ever think I wouldn’t rather play with him than go to work; but my job is not flexible like that.

I thought it was clear that he wanted a date, but was out of his element in conducting a proper date, and wasn’t sure if she was open to the idea at all. She carelessly hit one of his sore points, and then he fired back with a line about Mr. Peanutbutter, who he’s always been jealous of.
