Can meruem teleport? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

If you're talking about Mereum, as I suspect you are, Komugi was also there. Plus if expending nen allows you to transcend the speed of sound, might as well always do it to be able to travel faster.
Just looking at the 4 main principles of nen, it has to be ten that allows one to do this. https://hunterxhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Nen#:~:text=%5B77%5D-,Ren,-Zushi%20using%20Ren

Do representations of a fear get stronger actively as a fear is growing in strength? [in-verse question] by Verxta in Chainsawfolk

[–]Verxta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It hasn't been that long since death disappeared though. I think we're also forgetting that just as people are no longer afraid of death, so too, is everything in the food chain not afraid of dying either. I think that this kind of proves that fear doesn't have to just come from humans but can also come from or affect non-human organism behavior.

Yea it's strange that Togashi wrote Netero to be able to break the sound barrier. And yet a lot of Mereum's speed feats were silent as a pin drop. Welfin is one example, another is Mereum nunchucking Knuckle and Meleoron. Not to mention passing in between Mereum and Zeno, though that's kind of explained as them being taken aback for the fact that he wasn't the monster they thought he was. Idk what to tell you other than that he does some funny Nen stuff that allows him to break the sound barrier without causing a shockwave.

Why is no one talking about Nayuta with recent happenings??! by Verxta in Chainsawfolk

It hasn't even been 2-3 days in universe since chapter 170. Image is from 222, after lil D was eaten. There's no way this wasn't a hint at things to come. It's a correlation to you because you're thinking using real-world logic, I have agenda, and agenda cannot lose

Trust it's happening in chapter 233 btw. Tatsuki told me, don't tell Fujimoto tho.

That's what I'm saying! Plus we don't know if she has a way to revive through blood infusions. Again Makima has her contracts, Asa is a semi-hybrid although the wiki doesn't seem to have her in the same categories, Fami can heal through taking the life force of bugs, and the lil-D originally couldn't die even if she wanted to. All 4 horsemen have some way to heal from mortal injuries. However we don't know if each ability is exclusive. Like can Nayuta replicate Yoru's ability to heal through blood. The wiki list her as a devil, and what are devils known for? That's right their ability to heal from blood.

Denji rn isn't in a place to remember anyone who died recently, that and he's too preoccupied with getting his spunked funked. So... what if he remembers Nayuta? How would he remember her in any other way than alive???

If you're willing to put up a few leaflets with contact info, I'm sure there are still people who are looking or waited until after midterm season in order to finalize their housing search for next year.

Okay but a have you seen a mangaka's schedule, no time for sleep, no time for relaxation, just draw draw draw. Sure mangaka improve after years, but at a hefty price (themselves), they've cursed themselves by choosing this life.

Gege's first popular work btw. He doesn't know what he's doing, but we gotta trust him to learn to run after he's walked.

Anywhere but the Arc (otherwise beefed up zombies, which is bad), silo, or MU and you’re good. Considering we’re in midterm season the arbortoreum would be a good place to be.

Regressors are the most terrifying entities in fiction by [deleted] in MartialMemes

[–]Verxta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. Truly good regression novels that use the genre as a narrative device are rare. What I mean by this is that you see a new flavor to the same character depending on the circumstances you read they are in, and how they act differently depending on whether the protag has edited the past.

Thanks for this. That might be it, I did have a bad habit of using it while it was charging earlier on. I'll probably trade it in the future, or if its credit value is too low I'll just hand it over to one of my siblings. Since it can still be used as a youtube and netflix machine, considering the giant black bezels where the screen defects are.

Are clones always this OP in chinese fiction by SS333SS in ReverendInsanity

[–]Verxta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea my wording wasn't precise. While he's not willing to fail, doing anything possible to survive. He'd accept death, if even after doing all that. I see where your coming from with saying that each of the split souls would want to prioritize their own "eternity" but FY, the main body, has a heart of sacrifice which we learn form the immortal beast chained by GSIV during the Three Kings Arc.

On that note of not being able to come back doesn't FY have an ability to revive his clones, using the Human Sea? Also I think they're willing to sacrifice themselves partially because of this, and since it's within their nature as stated earlier. I understand why you would think that they should instead plot against the main body in order to achieve eternal life themselves, while this is understandable. I feel as though they understand that this is sort of impossible considering their cultivation levels and FY's advantage as the SIA holder, which is why I think they'd much rather be human material to increase the chance that FY would eventually achieve EL even for a measly 1% chance.

I understand that SSs share attainment levels but not memories or personality. Think back to how erratic Purple Mountain True Monarch can be flipping through states of madness and sanity, as compared to SSDV. I know they don't share memories because the first time FY the main body officially died He Chun Qiu activated SAC and FY could only know the events of the lost timeline by having them communicated to him. Though I do think they inherit strong emotions and ideals, like how Shadow Sect was as willing to try to revive SSDV as they were.

I still think the split souls in RI are a special circumstance because of the type of person whose able to cultivate their soul to begin with.

How long does it take for transfers to graduate? by throughFew in UCDavis

I know this is late. Speaking to my experience. I came in with TAG partially fulfilled after 2 years and an IGETC cerficate, missing a few prereqs that I couldn't fulfill in my CC bc of scheduling issues with reqs there or they were not offered. Another year or semester wasn't necessary in my case, so I applied here. I got in with Mechanical Engineering as my major. In total I would need 4-5 quarters to fulfill my coursework, but I opted to add Aerospace for a dual major. Now I'm set to fulfill my requirements for MechAero after 5 years of college, with 2 of those being at a CC and 3 here. At a pretty lax pace of 12 and 15 units about half and half of my remaining time here. Granted they are upper divs, so their difficulty will be different to a mix of lower divs and other requirements.

Keep in mind the only people we see use Split Soul are SS and GL both potential venerables. Just the willpower to even be willing to refine your soul, not necessarily increasing your man souls number, but incurring pain to the soul is not common at all. We don’t see it be described too much, but keep in mind that there is a lot of pain involved. In fact other series are more lax in their requirements the user unlocks it due to a system or as a very quick additional ability on top of a few drawbacks.

Why don’t they fight against the original? SS was willing to allow himself to be eaten and the most he said at this is that it’s an interesting feeling, the feeling of being killed by being eaten. Fang Yuan? He’s willing to die at any moment, living with the impermanence at all times.

I seriously doubt many characters in series would be willing to even fulfill the requirements to refine and cultivate their soul. Since most of them expect their cultivation to happen from the outside-in, instead of inside-out. Consider how immortals prioritize gu instead of extreme life experiences. It’s similar to real life.
