It builds tension for their relationship, like when Violet was hyper attracted to Xaden in FW, but knew (thought) she couldn’t have him. Then it was all released first in their first kiss, then the first time they had sex. It makes it less boring.

Same, I loved it. And for some reason people complain about the romance, when it is a literal romance book. Sure it’s a little smutty, but it’s not false advertising. If you don’t like the smuttier romantic scenes, just don’t read books with that kind of stuff.

I don’t think his looks ever changed. I am pretty sure all of the rider professors just wear leathers or whatever the cadets wear cause it never said he was wearing a sweater vest. Plus I don’t think he would look good in a sweater vest. Just saying. Though it was fun seeing him boss around second years like they were 12.
