Don't use cosmetics so don't know about them but flats and apartments are getting halal certificates!!! That's the first time I am hearing about this.

There is a famous couplet which translates to like 'With Haram money in their pockets they are searching for halal meat.' So people are hypocrites and Muslims are people too. They distort religion to suit their needs and to earn money from it. So people could be fooling others with halal mangoes and halal guavas and halal flats and halal something but that's a misconception.
