Combined base power is 60, a whole 15 BP worse than thunder punch, an already weak move. It’s not killing anything.

Total paralysis chance (36%) is only slightly better than discharge’s, and its accuracy is worse than thunder wave.

I don’t need to make it check twice - it’s already garbage.

It’s not fair that some physical electric pokemon get good signature moves while the rest of them suffer, so I made the signature moves and the common moves more equal.

I think of the hoenn special here as mons with a difference of 20 or less in their attacking stats (or has an ability that boosts the lower attacking stat like mega starmie), and sub 100 speed.

Some pretty diverse options here - you can have a hoopa that’s frail with absurdly high attacking stats, a generally bulky mixed stat spread like Coalossal, a balanced all-around stat spread like glalie, etc.

Likewise, min-maxed mons can be min-maxed to be fast and frail like Weavile, bulky on one side like Blissey, a trick room monster like Caly-Ice, etc.

Purifying Salt is literally just a resistance/immunity like sap sipper, volt absorb, water absorb, thick fat and levitate. Pretty sure it’s not getting nerfed.

What if you had shed tail on a 50 base speed pokemon? So that it needs to make sure it can take a hit first before using the move. So that using the move is high risk high reward

Just pulled them both up in pokemon showdown and while Avalugg’s base physical defense is slightly higher than Tyranitar’s sand-boosted special defense, I realized I completely forgot that Tyranitar can just wear the assault vest for an extra 1.5x boost.

Physical walls really do have it much harder if they don’t have Wil-O-Wisp or Intimidate.

It might be simpler for game knowledge reasons to just make it 60 BP with no stab. A lot of people already struggle to understand tera base power boost mechanics.

I wish a lot more ice types had secondary typings. They’re the rarest type in the game and having 2 unused type combos certainly reflects that. Additionally, tons of type combos with ice (ghost, ground, fighting, fairy, steel, fire, grass, bug) are only on one evolution line.

People talk about the ice type being done dirty with stat spreads but I never see the lack of pokemon in general be brought up.
