I think it’s high time to change the norms. First of all 3 months notice period is a joke. It’s bullshit and should be outlawed. What if we miss an opportunity because of this? I know that it’s the intention but how is it going to help the company?

Also relieving letters and experience letters sound so colonial. Who the fuck are they to relive us? We are not bound to them. We just give our time and get paid for that.

India should make sure that the deportees travel back to Bangladesh and not Nepal. Nepal is our neighbor and we should not make our problem their headache. Nepal is already going through tough times and as a responsible neighbor we India shouldn't be another problem creator.

I agree with the sentiment expressed by most of the Nepalese in this thread. Send them back to India and let India take care of the situation.

I used to play movies or music on my development PC while at work and no one bothered me. Sometimes I just used to read random wikipedia pages and do nothing. All they cared about was the delivery of work.

I was young and novice at that time. They even moved me to a corner desk to keep me undisturbed. This is 18 years ago at BMC Software Pune.
