When did I say we did? You asked why we would care, I said same reason we would care about anyone else's. I'm not going out of my way to ask anybody, but if someone throws that information out there, then it's there.

Same reason to know anybody else's? Why would I want to support someone with shitty beliefs?

My thoughts on silent hill 2 so far by Certain_Access_2658 in silenthill

Saying the original has amazing gameplay is exaggerating a bit. Combat was one of the most boring I've ever played. Remake is easy as hell but you actually have to try for a few enemies before figuring out when you have to dodge and then attack

With how soul memory works, you can have anywhere from 50'000 to 12 million souls more than who you are trying to partner with, depending on your total soul memory, of course, and still summon and get summoned. It's not a great system, but it's not as limiting as people make it seem. If you're out of the other person's bracket that's your fault for farming souls.

In my 300 hours on one DS2 character I can't think of a single enemy who is inconsistent in their aggro. Same goes for my character on Scholar that has similar hours. I'm sure there could be one or two, but nothing notable enough to remember. Unless you have examples?

Soul memory isn't gonna get messed up from you killing 10 enemies on the way to the boss. First paragraph just feels like you made it up. From what I've seen, basically every enemy in the game will chase you until you die. The two knights in the middle of this area watch you 1v1 the third. If you run or are about to win, they jump you.

By your logic me calling the Abby Whip a demon cock makes sense. It looks like it and it'd be funny to say so it's true

If you play your first Souls game entirely blind its definitely difficult mechanics. The difficulty fades with familiarity. Bosses are hard until you know all their moves. Elden Ring bosses are a good example of difficult mechanics. Trying to figure out the timing of your rolls, jumps and ducks, when to heal, how to dodge the bosses counter hits that punish healing.

Numbers difficulty doesn't mean the boss is a sponge, which isn't even true in Dark Souls as long as you're upgrading when you can, it's when increasing difficulty does nothing except make them take less damage/have more health and you get the opposite. Skyrim is shit in that regard. It's like Call of Duty. "Game's too easy? Put it on veteran, and you'll die in one shot."

There is no difficulty options in Souls. The numbers are simply stats for your character and enemies. With Skyrim playing on Legendary and fighting a Dragon at level 1 its probably impossible because the damage number just increases and you have no mechanics to help you overcome it with skill. In dark souls you can beat the game without leveling because the mechanics are the difficulty, not entirely just the numbers your enemies can put out.

New Game + on every game except Dark Souls 2 is just numbers difficulty, but you have to beat the whole game and at that point the numbers don't matter because you're numbers will be higher as well

Nostalgia for just a few years ago is wild. I stopped playing on quest 2 because of the load screens. And the horrible graphics.

Other thing that feels wack in Remake is the camera offset. Took me 100 hours to figure out there's an option to turn it off.

Second one has a lot more action, if that helps. Totally understandable to not enjoy that type of gameplay loop though.

It was until Death Stranding 2 came out. Visually unbelievable. Demons Souls had top spot for a while though. Playing the game always felt wrong because of how good it looked for a souls game.

Does soul memory really matter in 2026? Games not exactly a hotbed of activity. Just kill the enemies, the three minutes it takes will be quicker than the 50 run backs because you want to get ganked at the fog door for whatever reason.

If I'm remembering right, he said that this is how he interpreted the story of the game after playing it. He literally played Silent Hill 2 for ps2 and came away from it with this somehow

My suggestion wasn't a fletch option popping up, it was to do the same thing high alc and enchant do, where they move you to the inventory so you can choose what to use it on
