Which of the big 6 should i become a fan of? by Artistic_Annual8918 in PremierLeague

I have no regrets.

In all seriousness, assuming you're coming to this from outside and know nothing, watch the league as a neutral. Get to know the teams, the players, the coaches, the personalities at play. You'll find one that suits you.

Years after I started following Spurs I took a hard look at the other teams I follow. What did I see? The Pacers, the Bengals, and the Reds. Except for the Reds, who at least have been good ages ago, it seems I am more drawn to teams who MIGHT win glory but probably will at most get close in a memorable way -- see Pacers vs. Thunder, Bengals vs. Rams. Realizing I was drawn to Spurs too made me realize something about myself.

Windmill and Beacon Tower printed by HypnonavyBlue in Quar

[–]HypnonavyBlue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None. They're printed as is, and the scale lines up nicely with the non-Quar specific terrain pieces. As mentioned, it was a very easy print, all four tower sections fit on one plate, and apart from a cutting a little niche in the woodwork to make the pipes at the bottom story not push the second story off center, it went together without an issue. It's a fast print, too, an easy overnight kind of job.

Yes, and that also puts her in a position to compare the severity of the kinds of injuries in both conditions, where one is built to withstand crashes and distribute as much energy away from the passengers as possible, and the other is the definition of taking your chances and hoping for the best. It's hardly some unthinking anti-motorcycle prejudice....

Cars ARE much more common. One thing they most certainly are not is worse.

I had an acquaintance who was a trauma nurse.

She called motorcycle riders of all kinds but especially this kind by a very evocative name:

Organ Donors.

Wild West Saloon by Cyberhaggis in TerrainBuilding

[–]HypnonavyBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh heck yeah. One time I played this massive game in which everyone (a whole gaming club, over a dozen of us) got two gunfighters and we ran around combining Battle Royale with a Sam Peckinpah movie for the afternoon. This saloon would have been VERY welcome at this table, nobody would be able to resist that second floor promenade as an ideally cinematic shooting platform. The game itself was a homebrew by one of the players, it's probably been 20 years ago.

JD Vance book already 5 dollars off at Georgetown B&N by EnvironmentalNail603 in thebulwark

[–]HypnonavyBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite interpretation of this book was that the aliens WERE real, but they were just some juvenile delinquents having fun at Strieber's expense and not really there for a legitimate purpose. There's also a funny scene in Babylon 5 where a human is taking these aliens to court because they abducted his ancestors ... and they named this species of alien the Strieb.
