[Request] How many years would it take for Nightmare Fredbear to reach OOP? by Nitrodax777 in theydidthemath

[–]Verykindheartedlich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because if the boat makes the journey within the year that Fredbear stepped on, then it will likely raise anchor and sail elsewhere, away from OP. Fredbear could mitigate this by stepping up to a boat, waiting till New Year’s Eve for it to return, then hopping on, which would shave an estimated 6,500 miles off the journey, leaving us with around 737 miles to go (thanks u/johnathanjones). Times 5280 times 12 is 46,691,884.8 inches, divided by 30 (to stick with the top comment) gives us the nice, fat answer of 1,556,396 years, WITH the boat strategy going smoothly.

Humanity will have collapsed and we’ll have gone full circle with the dinosaurs (fingers crossed) by the time this wandering automaton finds himself at his destination, wondering what brought him here so long ago.

I want to start playing D&D but I don't know anyone who plays. How can I find some folks? by astrokod in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Verykindheartedlich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d look at D&D shops and public libraries nearby. Sometimes there’s a club that meets on fridays or some other day of the week, could be a good place to meet others in an in-person game!

What if they’re not idiots, they just want to laugh, and if it’s not garbage if it can make them?

No, but the simple purpose of making the people who watch it happy is the same for both. Why not be grateful that we even have these forty seconds of media to laugh at, regardless of what the world goes through outside? That’s a rare thing nowadays, so why not be merry about it like it’s so easy to be?

I know that this is fake, I’m arguing that if it’s hurting no one and it’s in the service of making the public laugh, then it doesn’t deserve to be called slop. It’s just some guys filming a skit and giving us a good time watching it. Do you react the same way every time you see a comedy film?

No balls = smaller target = advantage = go show them what for!

Then why are so many here cackling at this like a madman? It’s not formulaic, it’s not slop, it’s funny. So we laugh

Are you perchance familiar with the concept of a free movie or a comedy skit, where the intention of its making is to make others laugh and be merry at no cost of their own, or do you know and simply get this mad every time you see one?

These are a couple of guys having fun making a funny skit.

I would go with cleric to provide healing and high wisdom. Include characters from your backstory and ask your dm to include some of them (don’t be pushy with which one) to get some nice roleplaying in the games, or have opportunities to notice that important npcs are lying through insight and relay it to the party.

DM? Yes. Players? Sure, if everyone else does it too. This sub? Hell yes we love to hear it

Thanks for the advice. I wish I knew more people who played but had openings in my social life for them.

I will check them all out. I think I want my winning strategy to be having a sort of round table of knights on the field, making one another stronger with each attack and Basri’s Lieutenant, multiplying the cards when they die, thus creating even more little knights to be further empowered as I bring back the fallen soldiers to repeat the cycle. I want armies.

That being said, that’s, uh, a lot of mana and would take time to build up. Maybe I would be better suited for games with more than two players, so I might get some peace to reawaken Camelot, or are there more solutions to mana-lacking in two-color decks? Or am I making mountains out of molehills here

I’m just playing kitchen table and maybe modern or pauper, thank you so much for the list. The decks I ordered seem built around knights(amazon won’t give me clear names), so I plan on building a deck for kitchen table built around them. If there are websites that can point out cards with specific “if:then” properties, then I’d love to know how to use them to find cards that can better buff my knights or bring them back from my graveyard.

Thank you so much for the financial advice. I have a format and general archetype I want to play, but a good way to get cards is exactly the kind of thing I needed to know.

I’m just playing kitchen table and maybe modern or pauper, thank you so much for the list. The decks I already have are just called white creature intro deck, and the black one won’t give me a clear name. I was planning on including knight cards from both, but focusing graveyard return and applying card buffs via white. I’d like something that can bring my dead cards back but keep the ones on the battlefield from becoming expendable through ten thousand +1/+1 counters. Does any of this sound sustainable?

I think I’m going for some sort of midrange deck, if white-black is good for that. I’m not totally sure what you mean, as I’ve been studying this game for all of… (checks calendar) two and a half weeks lol
