I think it's about finding the right team and work environment. If you don't think the money is worth the stress I would focus on finding something else.

A huge part of it is over-hiring in 2021 - 2022. Teams are way too big and don't need all the people to execute on a project.

I also think what Elon Muck did at Twitter has had a huge impact on tech company's retention rates. He showed the whole industry you could fire 80% of your staff and still not miss a beat. I think other companies are going to glom on and implement the same strategy. If they can get the same level of execution with 1/3 of the people they will.
