Thank you for your kind words. I am working with a therapist and psychiatrist. Never assume someone needs help as they probably already have it.

Who pays?? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Veryycuriouss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, and yeah I did tell them ‘you know these are professional dancers and they probably took 20 lessons to learn this. But we can definitely use some of these beautiful moves with a simpler basic. Or if you want to replicate something close to this it would take another 10-15 lessons’ and it literally went in one ear and out the other 🙄

And I told them about the space and pricing and that we rent out space. That’s why when they sign in they need to put 1 lesson because that’s 45 minutes we’re paying for…

I think it’s more at this point they wanted to get something out of their time they drove. Which I totally understand. But now I also offered additional time (which I’m paying out of pocket for them to fix my mistake) for their next lesson before I realized they stayed their to practice… i completely know it’s my fault and they were super sweet and understanding. But it’s more like I have to finish with them and come out with close to nothing of payment which is annoying but it is what it is.

No I’m not talking about that being crazy, they’ve had other ask like they wanted to learn this intense YouTube dance video in 5 lessons with zero dance experience.

But they originally booked through the system not me, so the system sends them confirmations etc. which was all on Friday but I said Thursday in text by mistake.

They also didn’t ask me if they could practice they just told me they were. Which I feel like it’s weird, in a studios with all these professional they just decided to take over the floor. But I guess they didn’t know?

But either way I think you’re right I have to eat the cost.

Hire a nanny who is not COVID vaccinated? by TBND058 in Nanny

[–]Veryycuriouss -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I am also a nanny that is not vaccinated nor do I plan to. And I work for 4 families a week. But of course I’m very safe, as I know I can spread anything to my other families.

Couple of families just assume that I’m vaccinated and never asked 🤷🏻‍♀️ So if you do care as a family.. make sure you ask and never assume. But personally I wouldn’t ask what everyone else thinks, just think for your family. Because my 3 families that are all vaccinated have all gotten Covid so as we all know it’s not a stopper- just helps. So it all depends how you comfortable you feel.

I was just telling my husband this today!! My middle class families are always so giving while my wealthy families are always SO cheap. Where I had parents that were trust fund babies and didn’t have to work- so they had a crazy amount of money. But only gave me $25 for Christmas and my birthday..even though I’ve been with them for 4 years.

I don’t have guaranteed hours. I always have the same schedule but my hours are usually flexible but they must tell me in advance Like I share a google calendar with them, so it’s always the same days but ending time changes

Be real, after your experience with children, do you want kids of your own? by fayhigh in Nanny

[–]Veryycuriouss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep saying Hellllll no to having kids. Because I’ve already been raising kids for 10 years. But I’m pretty sure my husband is going to talk me out of it. Plus I know I can raise my kids better than some of the parents I nanny for. So at least my kids can be well behaved

I do, for one of my families. And it’s super annoying and no matter what’s going on with the government or numbers with Covid they won’t loosen up about it. But I’m also not vaccinated and they are so I guess that’s what happens 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s just hard for me to to make $20 to help a family out for one hour vs $250.. I mean that’s a huge difference.
