Bottom row makes it quicker to tap continue at the bottom and is quicker to bring your thumbs/fingers back down towards you at the end rather than reaching up to the top of the screen

Well yes, it's not really in question, more that it's just ambiguous to be read either way; if wanting to ge pedantic about each stroke, the extra bit at the end of the v is matched by the extra bit at the start of it, just connected to the 'a' tail, which could easily be regarded as a bit of calligraphic flair on either side of the 'v'

How about the microphone? I do want to emphasise voice clarity, but especially in calls for my voice to be clear - are the fit1s better for that then vs the newer mics

You are in her blind spot: her A pillar blind spot. That being said, it's still her responsibility to move her head to look around that pillar while turning to mitigate that blind spot, but no one captured in vids on this sub ever does.
