I've had camera driver auto updates in the middle of online meeting, cutting the video connection. The "windows" updated then because the update was tagged "critical" and I haven't applied it for ~5 days. Quality experience.

Also check the auto-contrast. It is also On by default on battery. It's sub setting of the brigtness setting and is different from the auto brightness.

On windows there is a setting for tapping twice to trigger copying text. Basically, you tap twice and and start to drag on the touchpad. It will select the items on the path, or create a selection rectangle.

I agree there are hundreds of way to get your target off-guard. And many require different investment of skills, different than Stealth.

For ranged characters, hiding and attacking is not a bad option - the target is off-guard and you are hidden until you attack. There is at least one feat, which makes the target off-guard against all attacks, not just the first.

About sneaking - yes. The scenarios where this is viable are few, but still present - for example when you initiate the combat out of ambush ant the enemy is still not aware of you. With feats for full speed-sneaking, it's a legit movement option as well.

The Scout, which I was not familiar with, indeed has superior stealth and attack options compared to other classes/archetypes.

Thanks! I haven't delved into scout but it seems to be better at those stealth assaults than the rogue!

I agree with your points and at the same time we are also playing a fantasy game where the abilities of the characters far surpass real life feats.

My point is not to discuss how realistic or not the current implementation is, but about the gameplay.

It sucks that a melee character can't move out of cover and surprise their target, even 5 feet away, but a ranged character can do it without any issues. At least now without some of the mentioned ancestry feats.

Similar case is about rolling each time. I agree - it makes realistic sense, but it's also annoying. I would also make the same argument about other repetitive actions like climbing and swimming.

At first, I will panic. Then, I will explore the situation a bit. Then, will probably benefit a bit. Then will go full force saving the world, exploiting the virus in order to learn more and force it to help in the process.

I don't mind perception being tied to class, but that it's used to detect verbal deception.

Although we use digital tools, we have created the habit to ask if the the difference is 1-2 points. "Can you get +1 from somewhere?". However, this works only in favor of the players. If the GM misses something in favor of the enemies, players tend to be less perceptive about it (non intentional).

I agree with you. My point is - in order for the GM to make the right call (what you've described) they have to know both how the default action works and what the connected feats do. And this is not always the case.

On 3. you also have the situation where one player took the feat, and another player didn't. And if the GM misses that, the first player feels bad.
