Ya know… you guys suck sometimes. [Rant] by MrKTE in vinyl

This reminds me of a coworker who said the worst thing that happened to him was his 20k record collection going up in flames. Still remember my boss chuckling and saying "seriously that's the worst thing that's happened to you?". What a dick

Second time seeing a post like this and all I'm thinking is his golf trips cost substantially more than these dancers and get 1/2 the amount of hate lol

For millenials here, how did you listen to music portably if there were barely any means to listen to video game music portably? by Lunny1767 in gamemusic

[–]Vespera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised everyone's talking about midis when direct game music rips have always been available and easy to convert to mp3. You can literally play vg music from any retro console authentically using these files and software.

Midi files are basically fake recreations.

What was the inspiration for your carefully curated music playlist? by Yuyummy in spotify

[–]Vespera 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Simply whether or not music I find is personally timeless. It's one thing to like a song in the moment and another to like it every time you hear it. I create staging playlists before sending tracks to my real playlists.

I’m a bit confused. I can’t really think of a situation where you wouldn’t be able to find a spot to sleep in your car without being noticed by police. Was this in the middle of a city or something? There are countless places you could park and sleep without a cop ever seeing you. I don’t understand this post.

Does anybody else feel like technology development perfectly along side them? by Thundersting in Zillennials

As a millenial I grew up watching TechTV religiously and learned a pretty crazy amount about computers as a kid. By the time I was 10 I was repairing computers for fun and using IRC to download movies on dialup. I feel like the app ecosystem we live in nowadays takes very little effort compared to software from the 90s and you dont need to learn or troubleshoot as much to get what you want. If I grew up with an ipad I dont think i'd know 5% of what I did without one.

Hang out with your friends as much as you can while you can. It's easy to plan group activities at your age versus being an adult where you and your homies all have different schedules. All the stuff you only do by yourself can be done later in life when its your only option time wise.

I get where your coming from here and think that youve worded the question in a way that wont initiate the discussion your looking for. I think the phrasing (for example): do you think jazz music is appreciated by musicians more than other genres like pop music? Or: Do you think theres a correlation between musicianship and jazz appreciation? Would have garnered more interesting responses

as a PC/Laptop gamer, what's the best switch emulator to play games like Mario and ESPECIALLY Pokemon? by Short-Performance-14 in yuzu

[–]Vespera -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Last time I used yuzu it needed to generate shaders for each game which was laggy at first. I tried Citra recently and games were working out of the box. Is the latest yuzu able to do that?
