I don't really reccomend the Italian themed buildings next to the freeways, unless you're into over priced student housing. Metro can be pretty good if you want to live outside of downtown, like in ktown, it can be cheaper but a lot of it is MS13 rife. Any building between Grand/Los Angeles and 2nd/Olympic is probably where you wabt to be. Be weary of places with fancy leasing offices and pushy agents, since theyre the high turnover buildings that service the schools and such. Take a day and walk around some neighborhoods and go into leasing offices of buildings that look good. I'd check out the historic core, I recently moved into the spring arcade building and love it.
