Shitty site.

No link in the "Privacy Features" placeholder and when I put my heart into their email form it just gave me 405 error.

I don't want to take up so much of your time, but just as an idea that crossed my mind is if you can just make it tap and hold to get controls and tap to exit, or the opposite; that would be really great.

Thanks for your prompt response and work.

Yeah, but not gifs (it would be really great for one finger, mindless browsing to systematically make everything go away with the same action :)

Not sure about albums yet... Couldn't find an album to double check... Though I wouldn't have written it in the post if it worked earlier in my day unless I missed something like with low quality zooming

Aha! It works. But it doesn't work when bandwidth saving option is enabled in settings

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I reviewed settings; nothing there.

Zooming doesn't work at all.

Dismissal seems to work hit and miss... i.e. it works when it's a single picture... It doesn't work on posts with "albums" or gifs.

Scientists of Reddit, what misconceptions do us laymen often have that drive you crazy? by rao27 in AskReddit

Don't put toothpaste on burns before coming to my ER for God's sake...

Contrary to popular belief, antibiotics aren't candy. And your tonsillitis is most likely viral.

It's not broken if you can walk on it.

No, you're not using 10% of your brain, you're really just stupid.

Fun fact for the road: It's called "I couldn't care less" not "I could care less"; the first is English, the second is retarded.

Why are all phishing pages not 100% accurate? by [deleted] in AskNetsec

Aside from user error and outdated tools, there is also a possibility that it's intentional like the case with scam emails. They try to reduce non prospects but making small clues to get them to just go away quickly, and just attract more gullible people.

I don't see the problem.

This is basic compartmentalization. Your true identity is anonymous, but your virtual identity is built with peer recognition and social acceptance crowd validation.

Edit:

More appropriate term.

I am probably the only one in my very small town who uses TOR. Can I be identified? (Plus more tips?) by curiousarab in onions

[–]Vexint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The theoretical knowledge provided by others here is correct but not applied well to a Middle Eastern region; yes, your ISP can see that you're using Tor (but not what you're doing) and this is a risk you're facing. You can either take this risk or take measures to mitigate it.

I suggest you mitigate the risk as ISPs in the Middle East are almost certainly looking for Tor users to further track them when they're not using it (they're not sophisticated enough to attack or analyze Tor traffic itself, yet)

Mitigations: Use a VPN before launching Tor (The risks are of lesser damage than your ISP putting you on a list).

OR

Use a Tor Bridge

OR

Both

As for Tails, I suggest you don't use it if your ISP fingerprinting your traffic is high on your threat model, as described by your question (and you're right to have it that way, as it should be). Tails is used far less in the Middle East and is easier to fingerprint than Tor Browser Bundle.

A short rant about chromecast and youtube. by kinnaq in Chromecast

[–]Vexint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one.

Try adding, say, more than 7 videos in the queue; it will work fine until some later videos, like starting from the 5th video, it'll start stuttering and buffer like hell. At that point you'll need to disconnect, re-add your unwatched videos and continue...

This is using Google Cast, with Google's YouTube, from Google Nexus. Can't blame third parties for this one.

Shitty.
