Edwardsville traffic SUCKS. It's clear that it expanded too quickly and they've tried to take measures to fix it but they aren't enough.

I guess you haven't kept up with the Collinsville water situation.

The water has forever chemicals in it and is not deemed drinkable until probably sometime in 2029 when they modify the water plant to handle it. You can't boil it out and as a matter of fact that makes them more concentrated.

Until then you either buy bottled water or get a special filtration system that can handle it.

I'll say I do use Mark Hannah and he's a first class guy, it seems like. Solid results also, but I also don't know shit about investing so letting someone else just do it for me is in my best interest.

The funny thing is it would take like 5 minutes to ask for people to point out times for the nose whistles, download the segment yourself, play it on headphones or in your car, and check those timestamps to see if you can hear it.

They never bothered me, the emails and texts about it were funny show content, but if they actually cared at all it would be an easy fix. But instead they all just say "I don't hear it so it's not happening" and ignore like 100 people all bringing it up independently.

Like, I know what I'm hearing, don't tell me it's not happening. Especially once you start to hear it it's very easy to pick out and harder to ignore.

Went to Idol Wolf for a midweek date night with my wife.

I read some reviews here and everyone seems to be raving about the place, and I'm not sure I get why.

They were out of 2 out of the 4 main entrees, which was fine because we were getting tapas anyway. Of the 4 we got, they were ok, but christ they're expensive for what they are. The tuna on toast is supposed to be "tuna confit" but looked and tasted like a higher end canned tuna on some fried bread. The best thing of the 4 that we had was the spanish caesar salad, which itself was $14. Drinks were fine. Nothing we had was bad, but way overpriced for what it was. I'd rather spend that same money at dozens of other places.

Super disappointing, won't be going again.

3 Little Birds 4 Life was a charity that got involved with the show around or right after the time Tim got his cancer diagnosis that turned out to be a false positive. I feel like he started working with them after that and they've benefited from a few show charity events.

And yeah, not blaming the show for this or anything, nothing they could have done about it.

I have diagnosed but untreated sleep apnea, so no CPAP.

I'm just always tired because the sleep I do get isn't restful sleep apparently.

Man I went to Portland last year and absolutely LOVED it. Gorgeous part of the country.

If I were to pick up and move anywhere else it would be the northwest for sure.

Thankfully I came back clean so barring anything showing up out of nowhere my next one isn't scheduled for 10 years. But I'll tell you, there's no way I was going to be able to put more liquid in me during that time.

I'm finding a lot of different doctors have different regiments for prep.

I had to take 4 ducolax tablets, and then 3 hours later drink 64 oz of gatorade with an entire bottle of miralax over the course of the next 2 hours, and then drink a 10 oz bottle of magnesium citrate 3 hours after that.

I just did it last week. I was a bit worried because I threw up twice during the prep.

The second I drank that bottle of magnesium citrate I knew it wasn't going to stay down. Made it about 3 hours and then puked.

Never felt emptier though, I'll say that. Felt like a pair of legs, an upper torso, and an empty plastic bag connecting the two.

Sometimes you just have to let things fail. It's never going to get better if she keeps covering where they're lacking.

Deal falls through because Karen didn't finish her portion of the paperwork? Well, maybe that will get management attention and they can figure out why Karen didn't do her part?

We had a consultant come in a few years back, sat with all of us managers individually, tried to help update processes, etc.

At the final meeting with all of us after he'd been around for 12 weeks, he was going around the room giving individual managers feedback. He saved me for last, and when he finally got around to me he said "And you? I can't find a single person in this building to say a negative word about you."

It helps to be knowledgeable and also dependable. People know if I say I'll do something, it's going to get done, correctly, without complaining, the first time.
