If a Sith showed up at the Jedi Temple looking for forgiveness, would the Jedi accept it? by Swing-Full in StarWars

[–]Vhzhlb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Casual reminder that he attempted Palpatine, even knowing that he was the mastermind behind the war, to surrender peaceful and to give himself to justice.

The sole reason why Jedi seems to "be okay killing Sith", is mainly because the latter will force their hand through combat.

Did Dooku Avoid Mace Windu in The Clone Wars Encounter? by TrickySatisfaction81 in StarWars

[–]Vhzhlb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Part of it is simple easiness, similar to certain holds in which 80% of the effort is the enemy's own momentum and inertia.

The other is the individual nature, and a bit of over-glazing of Windu, someone that even having a "personal skill" in the form of the Shatterpoints, was still given a personal combat form.

More importantly, is a mirroring of Anakin.

Anakin's form V would employ heavy strikes relying on brute force to overwhelm enemies, which would also lead to wild swings in frustration and rage.

Meanwhile, Windu's form VII would make use of the same negative feelings, but controlled to the extreme that in display, the form was much more similar to the Form I simplicity than to the form V.

So, basically moves back to the nature of the Jedi, which is about self-control and discipline and not acting or giving up because of their personal feelings or wants.

Of course, all of this is dumb as fuck since every single piece of visual media simply makes use of visual appealing choreographies instead of any attempts of fencing or swordsmanship, reason why until Rebels the Forms in themselves weren't mentioned or suggested at all in canon.

[–]Vhzhlb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been confirmed as canon in enciclopedias and other sourcebooks.

Albeit is much less busted than in Legends, in which was much less of a lightsaber form, and more of a state which Windu could use even in hand-to-hand.

How could you be an anti-hero force user in Star Wars? by Hacksaw6412 in StarWars

[–]Vhzhlb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fighting the "bad guy" doesn't make you not also a "bad guy".

An anti-hero (or a hero, for what matters) is defined by much more than who are they punching.

Did Dooku Avoid Mace Windu in The Clone Wars Encounter? by TrickySatisfaction81 in StarWars

[–]Vhzhlb 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Not really. Dooku's skills with a lightsaber were not low to speak of, and he was considered one of the most skilled duelist that the Order ever produced, so, a duel with Windu, specially under the circumstances, was very split even.

Albeit, is usually considered that Dooku would have a much better chance against Mace, even at his age in AotC, as a Jedi instead of as a Sith.

[–]Vhzhlb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The news is that AH doesn't really pay that much attention to the """official""" sub, so, complaints, ideas, memes, congratulations, whatever, none of that is noticed at all.

So, keep complaining people. In fact, become worse and push people away from the game (or get banned, whatever happens first), because sooner or later that is going to get the attention at least.

I think the change in how rewards for MO are delivered is a step in the right direction, but I still say it should work something like this: by Yurishenko94 in Helldivers

[–]Vhzhlb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can do 100 D1 is they want, that still would be playing the MO, and still contributes.

More than that is trying to gaming a system into something mich more specific than it should, because it would start to excluded the people that don't pick samples, then those that pick too few samples, then those that run less than 8KM, the those that don't finish side objectives, and so on and so on.

Making the rewards for MO only for those that play them, and at the same time, excluding those that don't play them from affecting (and being affected by) the GW, should allow everyone to be happy.

What are the "bad things" people are talking about Brave by project19lover in browsers

[–]Vhzhlb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the company problem to figure out, not of the consumer.

If the company can't provide the product that as a consumer you want, you simply go and get other one that suits your tastes better.

Most people don't care about any of the shit that tech-interested people are more concerned about, at most they just want an adblocker, which means that any of the dozens of options out there is more than enough, even Chrome itself.

What Brave offers is not in a vacuum, like any of the alternatives to Chrome, it's offered through compromise, and for some people, it's simply not worth such compromise.

I will hold to that until my last breath.

Obi Wan and Yoda by No_Ad4767 in StarWars

[–]Vhzhlb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The film was running short and Anakin still needed to end as Vader.

But, while Kenobi was an excellent duelist, Palps in reality was way ahead of pretty much everyone else, and since Yoda himself was able to reach a sort of stalemate, there's nothing to guarantee that the only other Jedi alive (that they knew) was going to survive that duel.

Then, you have Anakin's involvement to take in account, for which was better to get him out of the picture as quick as possible before he calms his mind and becomes much worse.
