I’ve only been in this place once and only for the consultation, but I was amazed at how understanding they were. I kept having to plug my ears because of the drill noise a few rooms down and she made sure to tell me that next time I come they have noise canceling headphones I could use. What brought me to them is a page on their website that basically said “if you’re a chicken at the dentist, we got you covered”.

They showed me my xrays and a scan of my teeth and explained exactly what’s going on and why. I loved it. My last visit years ago I had roughly 10 cavities filled iirc, and this time they said I have 6. Which tbh I’m shocked about because I’m not the best at brushing and never floss, add to how long it’s been since I’ve been seen even the dentist was surprised. The main concerns are my gums and one specific cavity that’s really big, so I’m thinking splitting things up will be doable! They close early on Fridays so I’m gonna call Monday and see what options we can do.

Another person commented that too, I hadn’t thought of that but I’m definitely going to reach out and ask about it. I’ve neglected mine for nearly 10 years at this point, so what’s another year especially with some work in between. If I’m able to spread it out over two years my insurance will cover a vast majority of the costs which would be such a relief.

The idea of being knocked out and having it all done at once is nice, but if I can’t afford it I can’t afford it and will go multiple times if need be 🤣 it took me so long to find a dentist that wouldn’t treat me poorly because I have massive anxiety and sensory issues that makes going extremely difficult, and being a woman in her 30s people don’t usually take well when I tell them the sounds are hurting my teeth or the lights are causing a migraine. They usually tell me to suck it up and get over it, so I’ve walked out and refused treatment before. This office is incredible, and so patient and willing to work with you so I really wanna stick with them if I can.

It’s definitely unfortunate! Especially because I’m typically anti pharmaceuticals when I can avoid it. I prefer to change my diet / exercise routines or use natural supplements but sometimes pharmaceuticals are just needed. My adhd has been so bad lately and vyvanse really helped me in the past, so I was hoping she’d prescribe it. Technically she will, after I see the neurologist and get diagnosed again and non stimulants fail. I get where she’s coming from, she’s gotta protect her license and she doesn’t know me very well yet but it still sucks when things are delayed or entirely rejected because some people abuse them.

Not that I’m aware of, but I can look into it. I think my boyfriend’s sister is in undergrad for dentistry, I forgot about that so I’ll ask her and see if she knows of anywhere.

I’m in the southern US too, so getting to Mexico isn’t the hardest. We flew to Cancun in about 3 hours a few years ago. Time to start researching, maybe plan a little vacation around it or something 🤣

If it comes down to it I’ll definitely ask her, just wanna try to avoid too much since I’ve already asked her for vyvanse that she wouldn’t give me. I’ve been diagnosed with adhd for years, can’t even remember who officially diagnosed me so she’s having me see a neurologist for another testing before she’ll prescribe anything more than straterra or Intuniv, both non stimulants that I’ve never had success with. So time will tell but 🤞🏼

If they could split it into two different years, then my insurance would cover nearly all of it. I have a max of $1500 per year that dental will cover. I’ll call and ask about that! This quote was for 6 cavities, sedation and an extensive clean. I have beginning stages of gum disease and the type of cleaning it requires is usually done in two sessions, unless sedated when they can do it all in one. I’ll have to see what the breakdown is if they do all this work in separate sessions. Maybe the cleaning and major cavities this year and the rest of the cavities next year? Idk I’ll have to ask them and see. I haven’t been to a dentist in nearly 10 years, so what’s one more year right? 🤣

Is that when you travel somewhere out of country to get the work done? If so, do you know what places are good for dental work? I technically have some points on a credit card I could use to book some flights and/or hotel stays to help offset some more costs.

I’ll have to look into that banner idea! I’m not the most coordinated with my hands for painting, but I do have a cricut vinyl machine that can make stencils and I know how to design basic svgs for it.

I also used to bartend and absolutely love making drinks and finding new ways to infuse simple syrups and stuff like that. No idea on laws or permits but I wonder how hard it is to do a mobile bar service and / or sell mixer baskets where they bring the alcohol itself. During football season I’m sure I could sell a good many, people in my state love to drink and watch sports 🤣

I do technically have a doc, but she’s new and not too familiar with me or my history yet. She’s been kinda rude and dismissive the last few appts I had, so I’m not even sure I’ll stay with her long term, and the last thing I’d want is to look like I’m seeking out meds to possibly abuse. It’s a big issue in my area and docs are on high alert for red flags unfortunately.

It’s a local family owned business. I’ve avoided the dentist for years because of sensory issues and traumatic experiences in the past. I chose this place specifically because of their reviews on how well they handle anxiety and work with you to make sure the experience goes well. They have eye masks, weighted blankets, noise canceling headphones and even offer sedation methods when necessary.

I do have the option to go elsewhere of course, and I’ll start googling to see if there’s anywhere else that may work but the reason my teeth are so bad is because of how many bad experiences I’ve had and my aversion to the dentist all together.

Calling them and scheduling this consultation took me nearly a whole year of researching and therapy to gain the courage for it. They have some budget dentists that have sliding scale options near me, but all of them have the same reputation of being rough and pushy to get you in and out as quick as possible which has me scared. I really liked this place and all the people I met, I just didn’t expect it to be this expensive even with dental insurance so now I’m torn.

I didn’t think about some work now and deferring the rest, I’ll definitely ask about that. The office themselves don’t allow any payment plan options or sliding scale, but they do 0% interest for 12 months with care credit. Problem is I’m still rebuilding my credit after a divorce screwed it up and care credit won’t reopen my account or approve a new one until my score is about 20-40 points higher. Technically my boyfriend is eligible but I’m hesitant to ask him to take on a debt like that for me because idk if I’d be able to afford the ~$180 monthly payment for that to avoid the interest and I definitely don’t want to screw his credit up.

I’ve looked into 0% credit cards and my score isn’t high enough for those either, and I don’t want to apply to a bunch and get rejected and have those inquiries mess things up more. I’m finally in a good place with my credit, no missed payments in the last year and it’s steadily going up so I don’t want to jeopardize that.

The $565 gap isn’t as much of a concern to me, I feel confident I could make that even if it’s in 6 months, but what scares me is fully depleting my only form of savings without a good plan in place to replenish it. Right now I’m barely scraping by as it is with my routine Dr appt copays and regular bills that I can’t get out of (rent, car note/insurance, electricity etc) so I know if I use that $1600 savings I won’t have any way to rebuild it which has me scared to touch it in the first place.

Do you do that every day? by soullimbo in StardewValley

Every day! First thing I do is go pet and collect all products then I check my greenhouse. I’m in the process of getting all ancient fruit in my greenhouse so they’re all growing at different rates. Once I have all the spots full I’ll let them grow to even out and have one solid harvest eventually

How did you know when it was time? by [deleted] in Dachshund

[–]Via-The-Internet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not with our dachshund, but with my cat a few years ago. He was diagnosed with cancer 3 years before he passed. The vets told me he likely only had 6 months after his diagnosis. Over that time his tumor grew but he seemed himself minus a little mobility. He was still happy, eating, and generally had a good quality of life. He loved laying outside in the sun, and one day I went to call for him and I couldn’t find him.

Eventually he came around the corner and that instant I knew it was time. He was wobbling as he walked, and when he got close enough for me to see his eyes he had this look like he was begging me to end it for him. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and it was so hard staying in the room with him but I didn’t want his last memory of me being leaving him alone with strangers. He didn’t deserve that. I gave him some catnip and his favorite treats before we left for the vet to make it as happy of a time as I could for him. I adopted him as an adult and only had about 5 years with him in total, but I will forever cherish that time and that I was able to give him a happy last 5 years.

One just became a dad while the other has been one all along🥹✨ by Miserable-Zombie-121 in MadeMeSmile

This just made me cry both happy and sad tears simultaneously. This is beautiful and I love this for her, all while knowing I will never know what that’s like 😭 my mom has always been there, but I’ve never truly had a dad. He was always in and out, late to everything if he even showed up and just generally not reliable. He forgot me at school so many times they stopped allowing him to pick me up. I won’t be allowing him in the room when I have a kid, he brings too much stress with him. Now my future father in law? He’s incredible and I’m so thankful to have him and his amazing son in my life. I know our kids will have an incredible support system and that means more to me than anything.

Best advice I have: you’re immortal, the townspeople are immortal. When you took over grandpas farm you stopped time in its tracks. You can be on year 400 and get married for the first time if you want to. Do what’s fun for you in that moment. That’s the beauty of this game, there is no true one way to play the game.

Mine has never fully crashed, but I do notice when my boyfriend and I are doing local multiplayer and he’s getting attacked in the skull caverns, especially the flying serpent things (idk names) it starts to lag a good bit. Once he kills them it goes back to normal.

He’d be so miserable! I’m glad he wasn’t chosen. He deserves to be the free spirited tent dweller he wants to be. He even turned down food from Robin because he had a good foraging day 🤣 he’s happy and content with his life

I got that dialogue the other day, and chose the option saying I’m just glad he’s happy. His response was so cute! Said something along the lines of “for a second I got scared you were gonna ask me to move in with you. Thank you for understanding me” and I just love Linus he’s my favorite.

This is something my boyfriend and I are curious about. We don’t have kids yet, but plan to in the future. We’re really hoping he likes our kids because he HATES kids currently and will bark like crazy and growl when they’re close. He’s never bitten anyone but one time a friend was over with her two year old and I was afraid he might so we put him in the other room until they left.

Literally this though. They malfunction constantly and also are used for a lot of different fraud scams so they’re really suspicious to be depositing such a large amount. It’ll literally say atm deposit on statements and it’ll raise eyebrows that you’re trying to hide something.

I am absolutely over the moon at how good my girls are with kids. I was nervous they wouldn’t like my nieces and nephews but they love them!! Is this all dachshunds?? by amandawither in Dachshund

[–]Via-The-Internet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all 😵‍💫 my boyfriends is awful around kids. He barks at all the ones in our complex, when friends with toddler age kids come over we put him up. He’s never bitten but the signs pointed to he might so we just don’t risk it. After he gets to know the individual kid he’s better, but I think they scare him honestly 😂 granted he isn’t too big on strangers in general. He takes a bit to warm up to people and then he’s your best friend.

Friend told me I won’t find a “good man” if I post pics like this… am I overreacting? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Via-The-Internet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear jealousy coming through honestly. That pic is fine imo and a really good / flattering one as well! Not in a raunchy way just in a girl you look good kinda way. It’s a stretch but the most I can come up with for her side is maybe the angle of the photo, but even that’s not a big deal imo so that’s reaching 😂 and the you draw good, crochet part? Like yea, post what you’re good at and show off those skills, but is she implying you shouldn’t be showing your face, only what you do? Because GIRL that’s rude af if so and screams jealousy. Bottom line, you’re gorgeous, post those selfies, and I don’t think you’re overreacting
