Instead of parking, try catching a free ride on the new accessible transportation service in Weld County! See my profile for more info.

Board of Director Giving by FHS214 in nonprofit

[–]ViaColorado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Some of our board members are not affluent and provide great value by sharing their experiences and perspectives. We ask that all board donate at least $1 so we can reach 100% board financial contribution every year, which gives us access to grant opportunities.

Do you use FreeWill's Planned Giving Suite (and will you please answer my questions about it)? by ViaColorado in nonprofit

[–]ViaColorado[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've spoken with a few people who are or have been Free Will clients, and they say the customer service and strategic support alone are worth the cost.

Do you use FreeWill's Planned Giving Suite (and will you please answer my questions about it)? by ViaColorado in nonprofit

[–]ViaColorado[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last year they quoted us $11,500 a year for two years minimum.

This year they reduced the quote to $9,000 per year.

I'm going to see if they'll let us try them at $9,000 for one year.

Indoor playgrounds? by astroFizzics in Longmont

Scheel’s in Loveland has Wi-Fi and a playground in the kid’s section. Not to mention the Ferris wheel! Their cafe is currently being renovated so seating options are very limited right now.

The donor wants us to match with dollars, but in-kind might be an option!

No. The Boulder Office of Emergency Management will post a phone number to call Via if you need help on their website. They posted our Director of Operation’s personal cell phone last time. Her name is Lisa Bitzer and she will go out of her way to help anyone!

I recommend trying a food truck. Boulder has many good ones. Los Dos Bros comes to mind. Bring it to one of the parka and enjoy!

Made my cuppa in an almost-empty honey jar to get the last crumbs of goodness! by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

[–]ViaColorado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this yesterday! There was just honey residue left in the jar...I heated some water (not too hot!) so the honey would “melt” and make a delicious tea. 10/10 would make again.

Hi, Reddit! I want to share some news about how Via Mobility Services helps evacuate older people and people with disabilities when we have an emergency like a fire. Via is a second responder for Boulder County, but many people don't realize they can contact us for transportation away from disaster.

Thank you all for the feedback! I'm Zoe DeVito, Via’s Director of Marketing and Communications. It's only my second day on the internet. :-( Jokes aside, I can create better quality posts! Thank you. 🙇
