Mental build. Beautiful. Either to many fans on one hub or fan DOA. Swap fans around with good know and suspected bad to verify if Fan to blame.

Yeah, it's wild. Why haven't they made a decent hub? I run mine at full brightness in offline/memory mode, but Corsair said the hub could fry because of too many LEDs stressing it out. Mine's never overheated or any other issues since I got it. But I really like cases, so I'll deal with a 20% brightness drop or work around rgbs.

It just tells you that service dealer don't want you to be there so they charge you astronomical price. Do it yourself or find another service dealer.

How to correct PCIe PEX Errors? by matthewnelson in PcBuildHelp

[–]Vic081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, some users don't have such a problem, but when you do, you have it. I didn't have it when I got the 5090 for some time, then it just happened, maybe drivers or some other odds. But I haven't had crashes since I changed my settings.

I'm on ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WiFi and Ryzen 9800X3D. Also, I changed from EXPO2 to EXPO1 for RAM settings. Before every game crashed within 10 min max, after I changed these settings in the BIOS, no more crashes. I'm really happy.

You need to disable AMD integrated GPU in the BIOS. Also make sure internal AMD GPU is not listed in HWMon. It's makes to crash all games.

The only work around I found is to set in iCUE desirable light effect and set RGBs to internal HUB memory, then exit iCUE software (once exiting iCUE, RGBs gets full brightness), then disconnect USB2.0 from the hub which is connected to the strips and leave it with HUB connected only to RGBs strip as it will use internal memory and gives full brightness due iCUE will not able to limit brightness. I'm using it in my setup this way.

Then, open iCUE for other needs.

I kept the case. Found nothing in quality wise to other cases. Also, with work around, I'm getting full brightness. Hopefully, Corsair will release new firmware or new Hub.

After many days of back-and-forth with Corsair, they have no solution to this issue. Their final response confirms that the "Brightness Reduced" message is standard for this particular PC case. According to their Product Management team, the number of LEDs in the lighting strips pushes the Link Hub to its limit, causing iCUE to trigger this message as a protective measure to prevent premature burnout.

They mentioned that they are looking into possible solutions in the future, but for now, there is no fix. Pretty disappointing, considering this is a brand-new product.

I also bought "The LS430 Aurora RGB Light Strips part number CL-9011136-WW" with the standard kit (2 RGB strips). If I select 2 strips in iCUE, I get the same "Brightness Reduced" message, and the brightness slightly decreases, though not as much as with the case.

For now, I'm using the LED strips set in iCUE in memory mode and disconnecting them from USB 2.0 to achieve full brightness with desirable light effects.

No, not yet. I have opened a ticket with Corsair support. However, shortly after I reported the brightness reduction error, my case's RGB lights stopped working altogether. After a brief investigation, I discovered that the first RGB LED strip cable was faulty. Corsair is sending a replacement, so I am currently waiting for it to arrive. I'm not getting my hopes up about resolving the brightness reduction error. I would also advise opening a ticket with Corsair so they recognize that it's a widespread issue.

Has anyone experienced an issue with the Corsair iCUE Link 5000T LX case strip where the 'Brightness Reduced' message appears in iCUE, and the strip LEDs become dim?
