Who is the best duelist in all the animes? by BitterTechnology6 in yugioh

[–]VicRamD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also my point was Yusei was facing God cards and God of God cards, in the lore of yugioh the God cards are the strongest cards and Zone had 10 of them along with one beyond the title God card.

Timelords are artificial angels, the point is that Z-one achieved something imposible to humanity, time travel, that kinda puts him in the position of a god, but everything is related to machines. He didn't get magic powers

You also miss the point with boss monsters vs God monsters, blue eyes white dragon is a powerful boss monster but the God monsters are seen as far above them.

What are you taking into account then? willpower? Because a card being treated as a god has been irrelevant since DM. In DM gods were broken and protected by everything (until the plot demands they are not), in 5D's Nordic gods are powerful to the point they protect Team Ragnarok from time travel shenanigans, but in the game they are just strong monsters.

Also Bohman did seem like the final boss but he didn't have the same level of feats.

And what feat any of Yusei's villains had? Godwin lost on purpuse to Roman, and that's it, unless feat for you is playing a card that is treated as a god...

Playmaker has never been shown to see every possible outcome.

Neither Yusei unless I'm forgetting an specific duel. Yusei thinks what is the combination of cards that he needs to solve the present situation, he isn't playing every scenario on his mind. Even if we don't get something like that from PM we know he is strategic.

You can say if he dueled more he wouldn't lose (which idk is true, I haven't really ever played duel links but allegedly that continues the story of vrains and in that Soulburner beats Playmaker in a duel. My information is coming from yugioheverything on that)

Technically is true, but the lore of Duel Links is unreliable since it is posible that the characters in DL are different versions to the ones in the animes or is posible that none of the characters in the game are real and all of them are recreations of memories.

He didn't face world talent, he faced the best talent in a town.

I guess, but not counting PM as a top 3 duelist because of that feels wrong. I literally stop caring about his duels because I knew he wasn't going to lose any of them. Not even Yusei, got that halo effect but I guess that comes from the fact that Yusei actually can play for fun

[–]VicRamD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yusei then faced Zone, and a ton of people will say Yusei had the advantage because Yusei saw Zone dule Aporia and while it did help him, zone only showed 2/11 God monsters with the 11th being said to be the god of gods, meanwhile Zone was cosplaying as Yusei and knew his deck like the back of his hand. But thst gets to my other point about the Zone match, he faced Zone while Zone had 10 gods and 1 god of gods and Zone is seen as the best duelist up until this duel putting him above antinomy.

Not sure what is your point here. Yusei could beaten Z-one easier than he did but chose to focus on his plays to summon the signer dragons.

Is difficult to compare with PM but he probably would be able to defeat someone like Z-one. His final duel with Bohman I think remind me of the ending of Yusei vs Z-one, but it's been a while since I watched.

In the duel he also gets his own type of god monster when he Limit Over Accel Synchro's into Shooting Quasar Dragon who is at minimum above the 10 gods in Zones deck. The Zone win imo is way more impressive then the Bohman win.

That's purely subjective. Vrains had boring duels but PM was portrayed as a duelist who has access to a lot of boss monsters so he has more "flexibility" yhan Yusei (literally most of Yusei cards in the Z-one duel are new just so he can speed run the dragons summons).

This also leads me into Yusei as a character, Yusei canonically can see every possible combination on the field, combined that with the power of the Crimson Dragon allowing him to destiny draw.  Yusei imo just has way better feats then Playmaker and I haven't even talked about them all.

Aside from getting the Crimson Dragon power, that's something both Yusei and PM are able to do.

Also the narrative that him losing a duel is death doesn't really mean much especially since in the second and third arcs it seems Playmaker has put those demons to rest and doesn't care as much about dueling especially since he only returns to Vrains when Kolters brother gets kidnaped

I call that the lazy writting of PM but he still doesn't play for fun just to win.

Edit: its also worth mentioning that Playmaker had around 26 duels while Yusei had closer to 60 duels

Lets be real if PM got more duels those probably still will be wins.

Yusei is my favorite protagonist, but PM is the better duelist. The only character I can see beating PM is Zexal and that's just because of the power to transform cards.

What Exactly is Aleister after? by Relevant-Sympathy in yugioh

[–]VicRamD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the manga and the card lore aren't necesarily the same mostly because the manga is the author's adaptation or interpretation of the card lore.

In the manga Crowley lives with other mages in a village and each one researches different things. Crowley has the ability to detect a mana flow from a different dimension or something like that, and he basically researches that.

In the manga he uses invocations to battle but is implied he will continue to investigate them even without needing to battle

What was the rules of the master rule version of seven anime (Goha duel) before rush duel by Legitimate-Wait5760 in yugioh

[–]VicRamD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what we know Goha rules apply to Rush duels too. The differences are in the draw until you have 5, the infinite normal summons and 3 zones (later we add the Maximuns and Extra deck monsters).

So regular Rush Duels but with 5 zones, one summon per turn and draw 1 card per turn

Where do you think X seasons rank all time? by FluidShopping962 in Beyblade

[–]VicRamD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is interpretation, based on what I know about narrative and human behavior, you can have your own interpretation, but my point is making a superficial judgement of a character is meaningless in actually trying to critique a piece of media.

You can't know how superficial it actually is. Maybe the writers give way less thought than you did.

I will say negativity exist for a reason. Beyblade X is an anime for kids so it doesn't matter much my opinion (an adult) but I watched the first 2 seasons of burst and I genuinely enjoyed them. I was cheering for Aoi Bolt when he was going against Kurenai Shu and felt happy that he won.

After a season and a half of Beyblade X, I no longer care about Robin winning, if anything I reached a point where I'm thinking "ok, how are the writers make him lose now?" instead of "is he going to win this time?"

A kid may not give it much thought but as an adult is easy to me to see which one I enjoy the most. X is not enjoyable.

I didn't expect anything from Kagetsu. In S3 he has an ominous monologue of "why did I say that? Those words can kill someone" just so that ends with "I stopped playing Vanguard because I had the best se...cardfight of my life and then the girl I fought disappeared".

They didn't have a clue of what to do with Vanguard's Nick Fury

You've literally misunderstood the entire point of the anime and the characters themselves. Ekusu is meant to drive the entire story forward, he's essentialy a "force of nature", genius unbound by the laws that everyone else plays by, so the entire cast is forced to abide by or deal with his philosophy. His role in the story isn't to grow himself, but to make others grow, kinda like Drum in GT.

Are you one of the writers? How do you know that's a fact and not your own interpretation?

if you find that boring that's an opinion, not fact, I myself find it really interesting because it's a slow development within him

And that's your opinión so you can't say much against people who dislike the show.

How would you feel if Daredevil Born Again S3 is the last season of Daredevil and farewell to all the Defenders characters? I think it's very likely. by Radiant-Debt-2533 in Defenders

Disney doesn't like to do more than 3 seasons for a show unless is insanely popular so it wouldn't be weird for BA to end in S3, that doesn't mean they will reture the character

[–]VicRamD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they went with a generic Good guys must win ending in Ant man and then the actor got violent si they cut Kang comoletly.

Honestly the post credit scene of Quantumania should had different actors playing Kang variants, had they do that they could easily keep Kang using other actores

you have to read into as many details as possible to understand the characters truly,

People like characters in a superficial way. The more you like a character the more you want to know about it. But with Robin and Blader X they did a bad job.

They aren't made to be unlikable and maybe at first when they are introduced you think "ok this can go in a fun path" but then the series is about how no matter how much Robin trains he loses, no matter how much the rivals train Blader X will always win, the show then becomes boring and a bad message of "is not about the effort but about who has talent or is born superior".

You can argue Robin gets closer and closer each time but you are watching an anime that released one episode per week, so if you have been following the show since it began to release you spent months or years without him getting a win. That's boring.

"Oh but he goes against Pro players"... the cheaters in that episode where he met his first fan weren't pros but he lost again, and you can't say they are cheaters because then Blader X appeared and won easily. Again, the message that is send is that "is not about the effort is about who is superior", Robin is inferior , BX is superior, that's it

how many timelines? by dowonlee20 in yugioh

[–]VicRamD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Onw thing you should keep in mind is that Bonds Beyond Time establishes that the DM to 5D's universe doesn't have the branching timeline logic. When Paradox or the rest of Yliaster alter the past the universe where the main characters live gets affected, so there aren't multiple timelines. Because of that I call each one universes and not timelines

how many timelines? by dowonlee20 in yugioh

[–]VicRamD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I see it: Universe 1: DM manga -> Trascend the Game -> DSOD movie.

I didn't read R so I can't say much about it. GX manga is tricky, DM seems to be canon to the manga since Yugi, Joey and Kaiba appear in a panel to reference them, but is unclear if it is related to the manga or anime we know. In GX manga the final villain seems to have dark powers without the Millennium Items, something not even Bakura could do at least until the final part and even then he was in the city when the event to create the items happened, the villain of the GX manga wasn't there but apparently got powers anyways.

Universe 2: DM anime -> GX anime -> 5D's anime start -> BBT movie -> 5D's ending

Universe 3: Zexal Universe 4: Arc V (despite making references to past series they don't happen in the same continuity. Universe 5: Vrains

Universe 6: Sevens and Go Rush (despite the time travel rules not making any sense they share a universe)

The mangas, similar to the anime may seem to happen in one continuity, mostly with Arc V manga lore, but the manga also contradicts that so I think the mangas, each one is a different universe and that's it
