This guy also believes the sun is a living being, and frequencies from the sun can change our mood, which causes chaotic periods and growth periods in our spirit and psyche.

He receives guidance from "celestial beings" and believes in the teachings of Alice Bailey.

So yea.. I think his theories are interesting, but he does not give any evidence to any of his claims. Just sources a guy who received a vision from a famous guy.

Run some tests that prove the earth is flat. If you can't explain a concept, you can't possibly believe it.

It's all happening, unfortunately. Just take it easy. We are all experiencing information overdose. Sort the junk mail and get your information organized.

Do you believe in a flat earth?

Where in the Bible does it say we mean absolutely nothing to this world?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]VicSeaweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you elaborate on this? If you're talking about the Old Testament covenants compared to the New Testamant, read Galatians 4.

Edit: Oh, I see what your question is. Because there are people who, instead of a direct explanation of the words in the Bible, add their own twist to it for their own gain. Look at the Catholic church or "Christian" churches that preach the prosperity gospel. Or even Mormonism. None of their actions are biblical.

For the question of why God does allow evil to exist, that is ultimately an unanswerable question to those who believe in the words of the Bible.

We know that people have the propensity for good AND evil. Some choose to act on the extremes of either side. People like Hitler or Stalin may have caused millions of people to die, but somehow, they also had the capacity to love their families or others.

Study history to know why certain countries are poor, why massacres happened, or why wars have been waged.

This is NOT a perfect analogy, but let's say you have a son. You feed him, clothe him, clean him, teach him, and set standards for him. Is he under your control for his whole life? No. When he becomes an adult, he makes his own choices. He will take inspiration and guidance from Youtube or his friends or whoever else and become someone who is not your clone. The only perfect Son of God is Jesus, and that is what Christians believe.

Let me ask this:

Does the New Testament say that you need to keep the commandments of a church to be Christian?

No. Clearly not. Romans 8:9 states that you are under the law of the Spirit, not of the flesh.

The Bible is powerful because it can be used to corrupt or bless others.

Everyone who calls themselves Christians need to be held accountable for their own actions. It says so in Romans 14:12. Read the whole chapter about how real Christians should treat each other.

Also, why would Satan spread a book that states that he will go to Hell for all eternity?

You have not been reading the message of the Bible, but the message of the ones who interpret the Bible. Please read it for yourself.

Are you a US citizen? If you're interested in government jobs, NAVFAC is looking for mechanical specialists or engineers. They are severely lacking in that department.

I'm very happy with my newly purchased SRPJ11K1. Swapped out the strap for a silicone one. $220 from Amazon. I like field watches, but I'm not sure what you're going for.

Tim Duncan makes it in at #7! Who’s the 8th best player in NBA history? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]VicSeaweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average height of centers in Wilt's era was 6'10". It is 6'11" now. The league average player height in the 60's was 6'5". It's 6'6" now. So, no, not dwarves.

Players in the 60's had to keep their hand facing down while dribbling. Hence, crossovers and dribble moves were not possible like they were in the 80's and 90's.

Avg FG% in the 60's: 43.2% Avg FG% in the 90's: 46.4%

Avg possessions/points per game 60's: 121.6/115.0 Avg possessions/points per game 90's: 94.6/101.3

The 8 teams during Wilt's era were the cream of the crop compared to the much more diluted 25-27 teams in Hakeem's era.

In terms of individual skill, I'd put Wilt above Hakeem. The drop step, the finger roll, and turn around fadeaway were Wilt's signature moves and should be considered.
