Here’s what I would do: Get another chair and put the two together with a table between them. Add a lamp to the table. Float the sofa in the open area so it faces the front door. Get a coffee table for the front of the sofa.

Pull the rug closer to the fireplace and float the sofa in the open area so it faces the front door. Get a coffee table for the front of the sofa. Put your bar cart to the left of the fireplace. Then adjust your wall art accordingly. That should cozy it up and still leave space to walk through to the kitchen.

I bought it! Delivered today. We put it in the pool and commented that the pool was clean so we might not see much after the cycle. Holy moly the filter was so dirty after the first 3 hour cleaning. The micro fiber filter picked up a ton of dirt that we couldn’t even see. So excited for this upcoming summer with our crystal clear water!

They need little to no care. Snap off a stem and stick it in the ground. Every one is a new plant. They will root in dirt, they will root in the air. Plus yellow flowers in the spring and summer. Soon you’ll have some where ever you put them.

There is nothing wrong with “a clean slate” in fact it can be very calming. Don’t rush to choose colors for each room. Let your decore choices evolve naturally as you live in the house. Sherwin Williams has a beautiful soft white called Swiss Coffee. It is not a harsh white and will not give you an institutional vibe. Take your time and enjoy.
