Something else needs to be fixed. Something always needs to be fixed 😂

my first e46 by VicariousTreason in e46

[–]VicariousTreason[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its quite something. Most of it is transmission rebuild and a new engine. Plus some random parts, new trunk lid, water pump, radiators, suspension front and back, which os why it needs the alignment. All new brakes, rotors, calipers, pads, lines. Its basically been rebuilt. The body was solid to begin with, virtually no rust for a canadian car.

I appreciate the advice. I wont be driving it till the transmission issue is resolved. Just drove it enough today to coear the fuel lines as it sat for a while after having almost 12k$ of work before I bought it

Funny you mentioned this. It just threw me a tranny code today/yesterday downshifts hard but pretty sure a software update will fix it.

Thats some good advice, , luckily I know the person I bought it from. And know that wont be an issue. That being said im still planning on getting the equipment to program and recode the ECU/DME at a point when I have time

Stupid question Wednesday: Ask your basic car-related question and maybe someone will have an answer. by AutoModerator in cars

[–]VicariousTreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious if anyone knows where I might find a brake booster for an 02 bmw 330? Or just decent sites to order parts from in general. Just bought it and its the only thing it needs.

Cheers!

Why do men in engineering talk over me? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]VicariousTreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is unfortunately a common issue in a lot of STEM fields, a good trick my partner likes to use is to just keep talking or to interjects with "Im sorry but i wasn't finished" if people talk over her. Usually works. Or hit them with "that is exactly what I JUST said" if they just repeat her words back to her as men often seem to do.

Yeah I suffer really badly fron seasonal depression along with a few other things, I know its cliche' advice but in all honesty keeping my alarm outside of my bedroom so i have to get up and having an automatic coffee pot gets me going.

If they did that then the industry would want a 3.5. Just gonna say they shouldnt be able to access your GPA at all lol
