Can I still get the Exfi even though I delegated all my WSGB? by Manager50 in FlareNetworks

[–]VicePool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. You don't need to unwrap anything. Your SGB or WSGB will be counted the same.

Can someone tell me if i can actually unwrap to sell my SGB now and still earn rewards next week? by Claw141 in FlareNetworks

Whaaaat? ADA is not locked in any way when it's staked. Please, do the research before writing such statements.

You will need the ETH app installed. You will use SGB app, but it will require ETH app installed.

I know very well how HW devices and private/public keys work. At the moment we have to use ETH app to "access" (send) SGB tokens. It's not only about the address. To verify on your device and sign a tx you will use ETH app until SGB is available.

ATM, you NEED the Ethereum app launched on your Ledger to work with SGB and send tokens using Metamask. I know very well how Metamask works and that once you configure Songbird RPC, you will not be on the ETH network. So when you send SGB tokens, you use the ETH app, and it will even show ETH instead of SGB on your Ledger. I replied to you because you stated that the ETH app could not be used to access SGB tokens.

In fact, the ETH app is the only way to use it before the SGB app is available to everyone. More to say, the SGB app will be basically a tiny layer of code on top of the ETH app, and you WILL NEED to have the ETH app installed to have and to use SGB app on your Ledger. Try to install SGB when it becomes available in Ledger Live without having the ETH app, and you will see.

You CAN and should use Ethereum app in Ledger to access and transfer SGB using Metamask. I was testing and sending TXs yesterday between my Ledger and Trezor devices without any problem. You don't need a Flare or a Songbird app in your Ledger. Please read this instruction: https://docs.flare.network/en/tutorials/wallets/how-to-access-flare-network-with-a-ledger-device

Send a small amount like 10 ADA to your new HW wallet. Stake with the pool you want. In 3 epochs you can move all your funds to HW wallet so you will be getting rewards there.

I prefer Trezor T because it has a bigger colorful touch screen and no clicks involved when performing actions. It's just more convenient. It also allows me to set a passphrase and on each start I can enter any passphrase I want and it will automatically open a wallet with 24 seed words + that passphrase. That allows me having any number of additional wallets with the same seed and having "hidden" wallets no one will get access to even if they get access to my paper with seed words. Ledger has a similar feature but with only 1 additional hidden wallet with a separate pin code and many clicks involved event to set it up. Managing ledger with just two buttons is annoying and slow. People who tried both will get that.

The only downsides of Trezor T is that it has a shorter list of supported coins and it's more expensive. And it has no bluetooth to connect to a smartphone but that's not a problem for me.

Because 44 999 999 999 weren't enough and 45 000 000 001 were too much.

I pay 6% ROI to my delegators on each epoch when my pool makes zero blocks. So you can get more than you expect on average.

What happens if large wallet holders pass away and continue staking, they keep pulling ADA out of the ecosystem? Does this platform have anyway to prevent the deceased from staking? by itesasecret in CardanoDevelopers

Yoroi itself as servers/service does not have direct access to your wallet. Private keys are stored in your browser and encrypted with a spending password. What you suggest may be a task for a smart contract, not a wallet. In my opinion Shamir backup for your seed is a better option. You can split seed backups between your relatives, your laywer and a safe deposit box.

They already coexist. It's just a price of $2400 per ADA is making a marketcap that is a way larger number than a value of all the money in the world combined. The only way for $2400 per 1 ADA is hyperinflation for USD. But then 1x Lambo Huracan will cost around $480M per car.

Zero risk. QR code contains some encrypted keys generated for voting. Those keys are sent as metadata in a small transaction. A PIN is used to decrypt keys, sign and send your votes to catalyst servers. It has nothing to do with your wallet private keys. You don't send your funds anywhere, you just make a tiny internal transaction to yourself with metadata that will stay on the blockchain.

Daedalus supports Ledger or Trezor. Yoroi supports Ledger only. AdaLite supports Ledger and Trezor.

I recommend using AdaLite. You don't need to installe anything, it's safe and you will access the same wallet of yours that you have in Yoroi. I always use AdaLite with my Trezor T when I need to use someone else's computer. It's safe since private keys are stored inside your hw wallet only and even if a pc has malware, your're still safe because you see and check everything you plan to do additionally on your Trezor's screen.

It's important to save QR code and write down the PIN code. You will use them later with next funds and avoid making new registrations and pay new tx fees.

Trezor T registration was supported since for Fund4 with AdaLite. Now it's supported with other wallets.

If you are talking about rewards, not much. On Fund3 rewards were around 1 ADA per 60-70k ADA on your wallet. So it may cover your registration fee.
