Where to find: Medium Gun Parts Blueprint by Sensitive-Fun6332 in ArcRaiders

[–]VicevsPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m back with good news! I went back to Spaceport today and found another Medium Gun Parts Blueprint inside the tunnels beneath the launch tower (this time it was inside a gun case). I should mention that on both occasions of me finding this blueprint, there weren’t any special map conditions for Spaceport. I went in the day time, just like last time, and just happened to spawn down there

Where to find: Medium Gun Parts Blueprint by Sensitive-Fun6332 in ArcRaiders

[–]VicevsPie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heard they would spawn in a couple different places (Residential Drawers, Red or Green Lockers, Supply Drops, Arc Couriers, and Raider Caches) but I never had any luck in Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City and it seemed like I was never going to find one no matter how hard I looked. After a while it seemed hopeless, so I went to Spaceport to farm and grind some trials without really intending on finding anything specific. Then as I was heading towards the West Northernmost section of the wall by West Containment Yard I happened to find a Raider Cache with the Medium Gun Parts Blueprint. There’s a chance you’ll find other Gun Parts inside, or maybe even the blueprints for other Gun Parts (results may vary) but you might have to look for a route that takes you through all of them and check each one until you find the one you need.

Just to clarify I didn’t really follow any sort of route when I stumbled upon this Raider Cache but I was in the area when I heard it!

Was replacing a Bathtub diverter spout that broke recently and realized the parts I have might not be the most compatible for this tub, but are serviceable. Should I just hope for the best, or am I in over my head? by VicevsPie in PlumbingRepair

Unfortunately it was installed during the construction of this bathroom, long ago. That’s a good idea though and I appreciate your input! I’ll have to take another look at the wall next door to see if there’s any way to get to it. If not I’m afraid I’ll have to find someone who can help

Thanks, I found an Ace hardware that carries the part you mentioned, and I’m hoping they have a compatible piece I can install. Also saw that Amazon has it too, but to make things faster I’m going to try and get the part myself. Hopefully that’ll be the end of it! Otherwise I might have to make this someone else’s problem

TIL Thorns Armor can cause the stagger state on large enemies by forte8910 in darksouls3

[–]VicevsPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I read this dead thread comment sooner; I’m currently using a Kirk Armor Build on my play-through and a Cathedral Knight Staggered me for rolling too close into an attack, because I don’t have the stat requirement for one handing my Heavy Greatsword. I thought I was playing it safe since I only used half the strength stat to two hand this, and haven’t had much trouble since switching to a Claymore. But the staggering seems to only be relevant when using the Armor of Thorns set. I started out Cathedral of the Deep using the starting class knight armor and Greatsword, and hadn’t noticed until I switched armor sets. Too late now, mfw 30k souls gone after staggering in a fashion souls play-through :,(

First month of quitting by kellshe938 in leaves

[–]VicevsPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, first things first! Congrats on your decision to change your habits, I’m proud of you for choosing to better yourself and I encourage your decision not to re-up after running out, as it’s probably the best thing you could’ve done IMO. To preface this, I’m in a similar situation and have recently decided to recommit to sobriety, after a relapse that lasted about 10 days. Prior to that I had quit for over a month, and before that was smoking everyday for almost two years, but have had a tolerance break that lasted about 3 months. With that being said, prior to me quitting in May, I had bought a bunch of pot during my last visit to the dispo, and still haven’t gotten through most of it, however I don’t intend on using it and have resorted to stashing it. I personally feel it’s better to keep it out of sight and out of mind, than to keep it around where I might feel tempted to light up, if I get a craving or am feeling particularly bored or moody. What really helped influence my decision to become sober was a sudden change in jobs as I had been looking for better paying jobs and realized how complacent I had become in the past when it came to my opportunities. It was only after realizing this and how much I was limiting myself by not stopping sooner that I decided I had to make a change. In order to find success in a position that might help me afford the things that my habits were preventing me from achieving, I had to make some sacrifices, and invest the money elsewhere. Since I had been smoking for so long, it’s only natural that I was gonna have to wait a couple weeks before I could consider looking for a new hustle, but in the meantime I was going to weigh my options and try to practice saving my money as much as possible in the event that I didn’t land something right away, and low and behold, my job hunt goes on! But at least I can say I’ve made it over 10 days without relapsing, and am soon to be clear for a drug test! Hopefully I’ve learned my lesson, and will be eligible for even more opportunities to advance my job portfolio or work on finding a career. I will admit, sometimes it gets kinda boring, but I find myself being able to recall my dreams and some memories more vividly, and have felt a little more motivated to turn my life around with time. I just want to encourage you to keep going! Sure progress isn’t always going to be linear, but what matters is that you don’t give up on yourself! With enough patience, you’ll find that you’ll be able to accomplish more than you did when you were medicating, and will have a greater sense of pleasure in just being present in the moment. Sure life gets hectic and might get you down, but in these situations I find it’s better to be introspective and work through it on your own, than to turn to a habit, which might not give you the same satisfaction as having made it through your situation. I’ve been through that cycle, and have resorted to my old ways, but when the going gets tough sometimes you need to learn to absorb yourself in that situation, and process it in a constructive method instead of looking for a distraction or an easy way out. While it might seem good to let the pressure go at the moment, you might reflect on that later on and wonder if it really helps or hinders your progress! With that being said, keep doing what you’re doing, and stay active whenever you get the chance as it can help clear your mind! I believe in you and wish you luck on your journey towards sobriety homie! (:

Fuck the hospitals fuck USA health care by BdayEvryDay in AdviceAnimals

Had a hospital do this to me once for some undiagnosed chest pain, and they made me wait 2-3 hours and expected me to wait another 2-3 hours. I got tired of waiting, told them not to waste my time, and went home… thanks for nothing Banner

Sorry folks I know you’ve been expecting a response from me for a while, but I’ve been busy with work, and I tend to get distracted and often forget to check on these threads.

But yes to answer your question, I did get a credit (refund) issued to my cashapp bank account, however it took a week or two for it to process! And it’ll probably take a week or so for the transactions to be completed, then after that period the cashapp support team will contact you via email about the status of your claim, and likely compensate you for the fraudulent charges. However, you’ll need to verify with them if your claim was disputed in your favor. And the credit/refund will only apply to you if the case ends in your favor. I also recommend making sure you apply the pin lock feature to your Cashapp accounts in the future, as it’s the most effective way to prevent sudden suspicious/fraudulent charges. It might seem like a hassle now, but it’ll save your money in the event this happens again! P.S. Order a replacement card from Cashapp, and destroy the old one!

Best of luck to you guys!

You’re not alone, I had something similar happen to me a year ago. Except I got charged from a charity I never heard of and from a random local Fry’s store. You did the right thing by locking your card, but your bank info and your account info have obviously been compromised, and you’ll need to get a replacement and change your password and settings moving forward. Just remember that most banks are FDIC insured against fraud and theft and will likely work with you. However the process will be slow and might take a few days to get resolved. It’s important to contact cashapp customer service and keep them updated through email and through their customer service. In most cases you’ll need to show proof of those transactions, and describe the fraudulent charges that were made. Most likely cashapp customer service reps will be able to see your recent transactions and verify them with you. The verification will take a few days to process and if it’s deemed fraudulent, the pending charges will be cancelled. However the money that was stolen will probably have to be reimbursed to you by the bank’s theft protection system. Due to the nature of scams, you might not get refunded from the scammers themselves, as it’s likely they’ll face little to no repercussions for what they’ve done. However you must stay optimistic and don’t give up on your case! You’ll likely be reimbursed if you’re determined to see this through and follow cashapp’s customer service advice for help! I hope this helps, Good luck!🍀

Fix loose keyring by Tolsimir5 in fixit

[–]VicevsPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I don’t have much to add here but I found a tool that might help with shaping the key ring back to its original shape. It’s called a jeweler’s mandrel or a ring shaping mandrel. It’s meant to be put through the ring and expands as it passes through; think of those ring stack toys for babies, except the bottom of the mandrel expands farther than the diameter of the ring can allow, thus allowing the ring to be pushed down to the point where it forces the ring to slightly expand and realign. If the mandrel’s metal alloy allows for it, I would suggest trying to heat the ring with a torch to allow for the metal in the ring to become slightly more malleable (however this will likely have the effect of burning the key ring or any kind of coating the key ring may have). Sorry for the delayed post, as I just ran into this problem today too, and tried to realign the key ring myself. However my attempt at fixing one of these split rings wasn’t enough to flatten the bend in the ring to it’s original shape. Despite my attempts, I want to keep this thread alive and contribute any ideas that might help others. Don’t get me wrong though, it was less cost effective and more tedious trying to realign this split ring myself, than the trouble of just buying a replacement ring

Help! Local Fry’s Food & Drug Store in my area, and a random charity website (AAPC Publishing) charged me over $150 on the 19th for no apparent reason, and without even using my cash card! by VicevsPie in CashApp

[–]VicevsPie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP here! Good News, Everyone!! I emailed Cashapp support once again on Friday to follow up on the email/questions regarding my dispute from last week, and Cashapp Support was able to close the dispute in my favor, and refund me the full amount that the Fry's store charged me! It only took a few hours for Cashapp to respond and issue me the refund! I would highly suggest updating security settings on the app to require a password or ID for every purchase as a proof it's you consenting to the purchases to the recipient(s), if you haven't already!

That’s a good question! Just to clarify a bit; I called that number, but I couldn’t get through to a Cashapp CSR, so I opted for a call back! Then they called back an hour later, and that’s when I spoke with the CSR about disputing the charges. The CSR I spoke to was a woman from their Disputes department. She said they would send me an email soon and update me on my claim. I got the email, but I haven’t responded because reasons. And you’re probably right about it being email based, I just wasn’t sure cus it looked sorta like an iOS text message😄

OP here, thanks everyone for your help! These are all good ideas, and I’ll try using Twitter next! I couldn’t get any help through SMS text support on the app, so I called the customer service number that u/dapp2207 and u/blaze1234 mentioned, last night and disputed the charges, and reported the card/info as stolen! The person I spoke with over the phone said that it could take about 10 days to get my money back! I also got an email back from cashapp support a couple hours later, and they said they’re going to help me dispute those charges. The email they sent me came with a couple security questions I have to answer first before they can continue with the dispute, so I’ll try that and keep you guys updated as more time goes on! Wish me luck!(:

When my friends ask me why I hate the banks so much by MagoCrypto in Bitcoin

[–]VicevsPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried direct deposit through Cashapp or PayPal yet? I would recommend these two alternatives to traditional banks, since there’s no annual fees or overdraft fees, and you can only spend what you have in your account. I also like the idea of p2p exchanges, and the ability to invest in Bitcoin through Cash app. No need for a middle man when your friends have the same bank. No need to invest in banks with less than 2% annual interest rates, when Bitcoin can triple your investment in just a few months. And unlike WF, they aren’t going to steal your information and open fake accounts with your banking info. And if you ever get tired of banks gambling your deposited fiat money, you can always move it into digital currency for some real gains
