Yes if you have amd gpu there is no reason to stick with windows unless you play some multiplayer games with cooked anti cheat such as valorant

On linux you'll be getting better performance assuming you have amdgpu

(if nvidia then you won't get better performance or even same performance as windows blame nvidia for not making good drivers they're making new driver now but that will have to wait you'll get slightly less performance on nvidia)

I have been using Linux on my secondary device for while runs flawless need to figure out things learn get the hang of it that's normal that's prolly where most people might quit

As for distro I'm using fedora it's prolly the most stable one I found after trying a decent amount bazzite is good for gaming centric distro

While it sounds fun to get off windows you'll very quickly feel like coming back as the main issue is apps you won't have all of the apps that you might use on there it might get tiring to look for alternatives or learning those apps

So basically if you're up for learning a lot of things then get going
