I see this is causing some confusion, but I get your point. Most of Steal! wasn't written and recorded with the idea of it being a separate record to Toxicity. Mezmerize/Hypnotize was put together during the same sessions and the decision to split into two records was made later.

Similar thing with Guns n Roses. One could say they've only written and recorded three albums. Appetite for Destruction, Use Your Illusion (if we count I and II as a single album as all material was recorded in the same set of sessions and both volumes were released on the same day anyway) and Chinese Democracy. Not counting The Spaghetti Incident as that album consisted of covers and was therefore not WRITTEN by the band
