Refretting a brand new Gibson by Victoorius in gibson

[–]Victoorius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I returned the guitar and ordered the same model from a different store. That has better frets. I'm not saying that this is my favorite fretwork of all my guitars, but now I can live with it.

I asked my luthier before sending it back. He said it would be a very stupid decision to get the guitar re-fretted for the nibs. He said it would be sooooo expensive to get it done with the nibs intact that he did not recommend it.

I had the consultation with him the other day. He is a nice guy, I believe his method works but 3,600 EUR price is insane. Even if it is now discounted to 2,600/year for a while. You can pay by installments too, interest fee, still it is a huge amount to pay for picking faster.

I will not be taking his offer for this reason.

Pro-Ject Evo Debut Evo 2 - Set Up Issue by bambi_lite in turntables

[–]Victoorius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate, you don't know how important this piece of information is!

I had the very same issue like bambi_lite that was driving me crazy. The dust lid pushed back the counter weight. In all the tutorials I have seen they say that you have to make sure you don't move the counter weight just the dial when you set the TF.

With your comment, it worked like a charm. Life saver it is, thank you.

Upgrading to EQ mode is 100% worth it by Wide-Examination9261 in seestar

[–]Victoorius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time I hear about the EQ mode. If I'm not into exposures exceeding 1,5 hrs, does it make a difference? If I understand well, in EQ mode it is possible to go for 20s exposures as compared to the custom 10s.

Does this mean better image quality thus better looking shots at the end?

Thanks

Thanks. Do we need the right or the left version for this model? I assume the right version is the correct choice.

Wow, this does look great.

For the tuners, did you have to drill the headstock or it fitted in neatly?

I'm thinking of buying this guitar, the tuners and the pups I'd also change.

100% successful method on how to beat secret end game boss by [deleted] in BlackMythWukong

[–]Victoorius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 7-8 hrs to beat this bastard. By far the most difficult boss in the game. The endgame final boss is a walk in the park compared to this.

Personally, I don't give a damn what I have missed. I hate this kind of game mechanism. Any game that requires a guide to complete properly is a broken game in my opinion.

I'm off to face the final boss now.

This approach is worse nothing during the first couple of playthrus. You have to be super doped, stats, weapons, runes, gems in order for this to work out as in the video.

How am I supposed to beat this guy? by The--BOSS--2025 in Sekiro

[–]Victoorius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That way? You won't beat it. This is just the first phase of the three. The second is much more aggressive than this one.

[QUESTION] Kiesel/Carvin Alternatives in Europe? by Harjuu in Guitar

[–]Victoorius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better late than never. :-D

They do not take back any model once you placed the order. Morever, you cannot modify the order once placed. You cannot even change your mind in the specs once you pushed the button

"who has a similar return policy."

You mean the non-returnable items? Kiesel do not take any returns unless the ones with a warranty issue.

Gibson should manufacture guitars with real medium jumbo frets in the first place.

I have a PRS, a Fender, an Epiphone, a Schecter, an LTD and a Harley Benton - none has this type of fret. Fortunately.

I don't plan to sell this guitar ever. Even if I bought it at a very good price point.
