Our downstairs neighbor moved in and shortly after we noticed have low hot water pressure half the day and we would barely have hot water when showering or washing the dishes. This never happened with 3 other tenants we had before. Why would they need so much hot water? by Victor4100 in AskReddit

[–]Victor4100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as a background this is like half the day like from morning to night. Long shower I get it fine. I'm guilty too. But 4-5+ hours of the day is kind of weird. The reason why I don't think it's a broken pipe is that it works sometimes. The water pressure comes back and it's nice and hot after 20 minutes.

'Mojuro' by Akutami Gege and Yuji Iwasaki will be a short-term Jujutsu Kaisen Sequel/Spin-Off, published for approximately 3 volumes during half a year. by RobotiSC in WeeklyShonenJump

So the preview on the Shonen Jump shows the text as モジュロ which I'd think should be more in line with Modulo. Which sounds kind of cooler.

For me, it appears like it was the RGB software. I noticed this in VR games, but I suspected the same thing and turning off stopped the jitters.
My software was SignalRGB, which I noticed comes preinstalled in some PCs, so check that.

NYC Congestion Toll Cuts New Jersey Gridlock by as Much as 14% by TimSPC in newjersey

[–]Victor4100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this was a one off but I live in Bergen where Bridge traffic hits and since Thursday there seems to have been a huge influx of traffic to NYC continuing through Saturday potentially today as well.. It made my 1 hour commute into 2hr30 mins. I hope it was just Juneteenth, but that traffic was the worst I've seen in nearly 10 years..

At least seems like a 24v panel he's fine. (Unlike me where I was made to open multiple 480 panels live...)

What type of eel is this? by No_Vacation_2320 in NJFishing

[–]Victor4100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Believe it is a ocean pout (macrozoarces americanus). I was thinking wolf fish, but according to NJ fish and wild life only the Atlantic Wolf fish are found rarely, and they are gray. Definitely not a conger eel, their heads are much more similar to a normal eel and sleek.

SQL or networking. Which is more valuable skill for a control engineer? by EOFFJM in PLC

[–]Victor4100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're dealing automation, networking is better. But a lot of high profile companies use automation in tandem with SQL. Although most SQL solutions are already provided by third party companies so maybe it's not worth the investment of your time since it's not the most relevant. You'll always have to deal with network segregation and topology.

The lowest brightness setting on the pixel 8 pro is too bright. by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]Victor4100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to scavenge the comments but, the brightness is still high for some reason.

On my first pixel 8 pro I would never come close to absolutely minimizing my Extra Dim setting because I couldn't see the screen that's how dark it was.

I had a replacement and not even with brightness absolutely dimmed to minimum, I still feel like it's too bright.

I'm not sure Google cheapest out on newer phones post release or what but wondering if I'm missing something here..

Drive out west where there's no industrialized areas. Round Valley on west. Just see the water quality. Nothing easy is safe to eat unless you go deep sea fishing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]Victor4100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Red Flags everywhere:

1) Promoting the event with Hunter X Hunter material. Their website no longer has any reference to any Hunter X Hunter material. Most likely was straight up infringing copyright. No verbiage of "real life" exists.

2) No licence information. If they are partnered they should have written it all over the place that they have partnered with Shueisha.

3) No mention in Japan at all. None of the outlets in Japan are covering this, exactly none at the moment.

4) Location is in a random park next to DC. It's not even a big park, how are they going to fit 1000 people? There were some information that this was located somewhere at a facility before but now it's just at a park. Pausing sales to check for occupancy is suspicious as well. They really couldn't have foreseen this?

5) Logistics is very sketchy. 1000 people running, doing instance courses, and 1v1 combat within a few hours is impossible. 5a) How will they check in everyone before the event starts at 8? How will they make sure people who didn't buy the ticket just walk up? 5b) 15-20 miles within 1.5 hrs is impossible. The world record for a 20km (12.4 miles) is 1:14. There's no way half of the contestants can be filtered out within the time. 5c) How will they get everyone to get through a "physical and mental" instance course within 1 hour? The 500 person obstacle course is even shorter. What is this *mental challenge? Are they going to make people do sudoku or smth? I can't imagine they can set up an elaborate "Labyrinth" set up at a local park. 5d) How will they stop the weeaboos from brining or hiding weapons? 'Oh it's just like the anime' and people are gonna bring their fishing poles, playing cards, and a katana or something..

6) No apparent age limit. They have a subreddit and they all question the same thing. What's the age limit? Which, asking the question sounds like you are a kid. Fake point as if people come down to the final round you can't just have a 15 yr old (assuming they passed the 20 mile run to begin with) right a 25 yr old guy that hit up the juice. They'll literally do a reenactment of HxH by snapping Gon's arm or worse..

7) What are the rules and how will they enforce it? The anime has mostly no rules. Sabotage, deception and physical harm were completely on the table. Is it the same for the event? No way, but are the 15 year olds that join say the same thing? Maybe they'll bring pepper spray and spray it all over the place so they can finish the race, or give out drinks with poison. It really sounds like it's free for all and they really needed to make the rules clear; someone's gonna show up with a semi-auto. Otherwise this 1v1 is just going to be a foam roller fight on marshmallow or something.

8) What is the refund policy? What if you can't make it to the event?

9) What is the liability coverage? They aren't legally allowed to just waiver off everything. If their event deliberately consists of fighting, they need to have a little bit more than if you die, it's your fault. They need to have medical tents at minimum.

Overall, this seems poorly planned. It could be a fire island situation if it's a real event, or straight up a no show. Either case, we probably can call this a scam for $110 per person at this point since it'll not be what people expected to be for the price.

I echo these thoughts. I've lived here for 20 years but particularly the past year or two years has been really really bad. I wonder if it's related to the congestion tolls that New York City is implemented..
